Bandits Wipe Out Pastor, Wife and Two Children in Fresh Plateau Att@ck Gunmen have k+lled a pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All, along with his wife and their two children, in Gako village, Rim Ward, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State. The victims were identified as Rev. Ayuba Choji, his wife, Chundung Ayuba, and their two children, Cyril Ayuba and Endurance Ayuba. Residents said the att@ckers stormed the community at about 11 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, f+ring sporadically and forcing villagers to flee into surrounding bushes to save their lives. A community member, Martha Dalyop, described the incident as part of a recurring wave of v+olence that has left residents living in constant fear. According to her, many villagers can no longer sleep in their homes or freely work on their farms due to repeated att@cks. Confirming the incident, the publicity secretary of the Berom Youths Moulder Association, Rwang Tengwong, said the att@ckers appeared to operate in coordinated groups during such raids. He explained that while one group att@cksresidents, others d+stroy farmlands or block escape routes to prevent intervention. Tengwong further disclosed that large portions of farmland, including maize, cabbage and hot pepper crops, were d+stroyed in Kassa, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, within the past 48 hours, an incident that has worsened food insecurity in affected communities.

Day 10 of calling on the Benue Police Command. I woke up earlier than normal today and that name crossed my mind. I couldn’t help but say a little prayer for her and plenty of curses for those who took her away from her family, where she was loved, cared for, and pampered. She was forced to become an adult at an early stage and was physically and sexually abused by the Ogbujas. The ones who were supposed to be her safe space turned her life into a nightmare and killed her in the process. She was sexually abused by Andrew and Victor Ogbuja, both vaginally and anally. Felicia Ogbuja watched her scream in agony every night and protected her own daughters. She hid 11 test results that could have saved the little girl’s life because she was trying to protect her monster husband and son. Winifred Ogbuja listened to her cries, muffling, and screaming in pain from the sexual abuse meted out to Ochanya. Agbenu Ogbuja listened to the cries, screaming, and the surrendering low muffled sounds. Esther Ogbuja listened to little Ochanya scream and call for help. Ihotu Ogbuja was a little child, probably half the age of Ochanya or less, but she at some point heard the loud cries and screams. Is the Benue State Police trying to let this case die down again? Why are they not responding, releasing an official statement, and putting up wanted posters for these criminals? As the solicitor to the family of the late Ochanya, @InibeheEffiong wsd hesitant and very cautious about making public statements regarding this tragic case. However, people have been tagging and reaching out to me for clarifications. @Winifunds has very serious questions to answer regarding what she knows about the circumstances of the death of Miss Ochanya. Here he attached certified excerpts from the judgement of the Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi, delivered on 28th April, 2022 in the charge filed by NAPTIP against Mrs. Felicia Ogbuja (Winifred’s mother). Mrs Felicia was convicted and sentenced to five months imprisonment for failing to protect the late Ochanya who was under her care. If you read page 14 of the judgement, you will see that Winifred’s name came up in the course of the proceedings. A witness testified under oath that Winifred caught her brother (Victor Ogbuja), who is still on the run, and reported to their father, Mr. Andrew Ogbuja. Based on what I know, @Winifunds refused or failed to cooperate with the investigators. She failed to make a statement regarding her role in the case. Efforts by investigators to get to her proved abortive. If she had cooperated, it would have likely had a profound impact on the quest for justice for Ochanya. That is all that I can say at this time.
