Every time we tell the story of another woman building in Bitcoin, we challenge the narrative of who belongs in this ecosystem. Visibility creates possibility. I'm proud that @btc_dada is helping document these stories and I know there are many more still to be written. 🧡 #bitcoin
Bitcoin DADA@btc_dada

Reflecting on the last two articles we published celebrating women building with Bitcoin across the world, one thing became clear: There are far more women shaping this ecosystem than most people realize. 🧡 Across these two articles, we celebrated women who are educating, building, advocating, researching, writing code, creating products, shaping policy, and opening doors for others. From @marcelorraine, @anitaonl, @natbrunell, @LynAldenContact, @niftynei, @DecentraSuze, @Farida_N, @JoanaCotar, @RoyaMahboob, @efenigson, @AbundantMines, @dearezkitha, @nduku_jay, @kakafurlan, @waye_dev, @IamMissNabs, @briimhd, @CharFadirepo,@ojomaochai, @MouxDesign and @carol_bitcoin story is a reminder that Bitcoin is being built by women from every corner of the world. And the truth is, this list isn't exhaustive. There are countless other women making meaningful contributions every day, often quietly, but with impact that continues to shape the future of Bitcoin. If you haven't read the articles yet, we'd love for you to. You might discover a new role model, a new perspective, or even a new path for your own journey in Bitcoin. 📖 Find both articles on our website, and let us know: Whose story inspired you the most? ⚡ btcdada.com/celebrating-th… btcdada.com/celebrating-th… #BitcoinDada #WomenInBitcoin #WomenWhoBuild #AfricaBitcoin

It’s official (well… it’s been official since January, but who’s counting? 😅) Say hello to a Nexford University MBA graduate! I know, I know… I'm a little late sharing this. Life happened. But better late than never, right? Over the course of the program, I completed 15 courses, submitted 90+ assignments, and delivered countless presentations (complete with embedded videos where I got to present my research and ideas). Balancing a full-time program lead role during the day with classes and assignments at night wasn't always easy. There were weeks I genuinely don't know how I made it through, but somehow, I did. I'm incredibly grateful for the journey, the lessons, and the growth that came with it. Here's to new milestones and whatever comes next. And before anyone asks... a PhD? No, thank you. 😅

Another cohort in the books! 🦀🎉 Today, we officially wrapped up the first Rust for Bitcoiners cohort of 2026, making it the second pathway cohort to conclude this week. Over the past six weeks, participants have explored Rust through the lens of Bitcoin development, building practical skills while learning core programming concepts, memory safety, ownership, and writing performant code for Bitcoin applications. With the live sessions now behind them, the final stage begins: completing their capstone projects. Once those are submitted, the evaluation process will begin ahead of graduation.

We just wrapped up the week 3 study group session of the Mastering Bitcoin live cohort. ⚡ This week, participants explored wallet recovery and transactions. The cohort examined how modern bitcoin wallets generate and recover keys, the role of recovery seeds and backups, and why proper wallet recovery is critical to securing bitcoin over the long term. They also dove into bitcoin transactions, learning how value moves across the network, how transactions are structured, and the key components that make them valid and secure. Through partner discussions, breakout sessions, and group conversations, participants unpacked these concepts together, shared insights from the readings, and connected the theory to real-world bitcoin usage.

Today, we're celebrating two incredible members of our community who finished in the top three at the @AiKenya1 over the weekend, organized by @AiKenya1, @DirectEdDev, and Mercy corps. 🧡 Out of 48 teams that advanced to the final hackathon sprint, @Ms_Wanjiku15 and her team emerged as overall winners with KaLi (Kenya Agri-lending Intelligence), a platform that helps financiers make smarter lending decisions by looking beyond collateral and understanding the farmer. Coming in third place was @TheeNerdd and her team with SokoSense, an AI-powered SMS solution that transforms complex market and agricultural data into simple, actionable recommendations for farmers on any phone. We're incredibly proud of @Ms_Wanjiku15 and @TheeNerdd, not just for the recognition, but for believing in their ideas, putting their skills to the test, and building solutions that solve real problems. Congratulations to both teams, and to @AiKenya1, @DirectEdDev, and Mercy corps for creating a platform that continues to spotlight innovation and emerging talent. Here's to many more women stepping forward, building boldly, and reminding themselves of what's possible. #BitcoinDada #WomenInTech #WomenWhoBuild #KenyaAIChallenge #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #AfricaTech #Community

Africa is not waiting for the future of bitcoin to be built elsewhere, we're building it ourselves.🚀 That was one of the strongest themes throughout the inaugural @btcnairobi_conf 🇰🇪, a gathering of developers, educators, entrepreneurs, community leaders, policymakers, and builders working to strengthen bitcoin adoption and innovation across the continent. We're proud that some members of the Btrust community contributed to these important conversations.

Can AI help Bitcoin open-source development without compromising the principles that make Bitcoin resilient? On the main stage, @kelvinator05 is exploring how AI is reshaping open-source development, where it adds real value, where caution is needed, and the responsible practices contributors should adopt when building for Bitcoin.

Every startup has an origin story. Ours started with a question: “this is supposed to be the future?” A Lagos merchant got paid in Bitcoin for the first time. What should have been simple wasn’t. She needed: • 3 different apps • A YouTube tutorial •Learning Technical Terms 1/
