@CaptainMolasses There's definitely some weirdness to it because it's also protected as a symbol of the Red Cross organizations, but the idea is that it's protecting innocent people in warzones from dying so it's important that that function is protected.

@CaptainMolasses The restriction on the use of the red cross is because it's defined as a protective symbol in the Geneva Convention. It's not really supposed to mean "health and safety", it's mean to show that something isn't a valid military target and that shooting it is a war crime.

@edmundmcmillen 1) A way to view/manage a bunch of cats in the house at once in the late game. 2) A way to see the health of all units in a battle. 3) No storage limits on post-run item management. Ideally, you click the items you're interested in, then deselect items to go under the limit.

@NeverSinkDev The only one I'd disagree with in the quote is the abilities one, since discovering that stuff is part of the fun. Having to sort out all the random consumables after every run or clicking left on the cat tracker 15 times to see my kittens every day really doesn't add anything.

I heard this take several times and I think it's mostly wrong. We had this many times in the PoE community and almost every single time more QOL improved the experience. Now don't get me wrong, mewgenics is a great game, but the issues brought up by the post are real (even if of different severity). PS: There are special cases, where omitting information (balatro) or worsening controls (fall guys) improves experience, however this is not QOL, these are game features.

@TomKiwi3 @PeepsRebellion Their ability pool is pretty consistently good, they have a ton of high damage abilities/synergies, and range/lobbed shots means they can almost always contribute while staying safe. You do need a good cat to start with though because they want stats (at least dex/const/speed).

Since I've beaten the main story. For those interested here is my personal #mewgenics class tier list. This is mostly due to having cats with a lot of mutations and the classes that seemed to work best with said mutations.

@DuxSins @Lunwi67 Yeah, I was thinking that he could end up with a big scary cosmic villain type on his team. I'm not really big enough of a Marvel nerd to go beyond vague speculation though.

@darkChozo @Lunwi67 Looked it up and Robbie operates in space and the devs said they chose Robbie for a certain role in the story and assuming he's a galactic team he's the only place star lord fits and makes sense

@DuxSins @Lunwi67 Maybe Spiderman/Ghost Rider? A Spidey teamup with an ally and a couple of villains seems like it'd make sense, and it's not super clear what Ghost Rider's team will be so he's probably got the best slots for wildcards.

@abichungus The first time I fought him he possessed my mage with the expensive cone spell which immediately nuked 2 of my other cats. My last cat was an immortal cleric that eventually managed to win by luring the boss into a fire patch caused by a wisp. He ended up with like 13 injuries.

the boss possesed one of my cats so i had to knock it out to exorcise him but i forgot i had friendly zombies spawned with my necronomicon so my zombies ate my 4th cat just straight up

@Carnivorex @tiredofmusk @PMBY89 @cheryo000 That kind of works for DPs but some characters just need diagonals. Eg. 8 way dash characters (Ahri in 2xko being a relevant example) need ways to clearly indicate all 8 directions.

@darkChozo @tiredofmusk @PMBY89 @cheryo000 I dont think 1-2 would matter cause there isnt really a use case for it, so it should always be 12. Dp could be 3-6-3 and you could use clockwise and counter clockwise for directions

@Carnivorex @tiredofmusk @PMBY89 @cheryo000 One of the advantages of a 1-9 system like numpad is that a number is (almost) always a direction, even if it's next to other letters or numbers. In traditional you have to use a lot more separators to make that clear (623 is always 623 but fddf can be f.d.df or f.d.d.f)

@Carnivorex @tiredofmusk @PMBY89 @cheryo000 Clocks don't have a neutral direction or clear diagonals (would a DP be 3-6-5 or 3-6-4?) and also have overlap between different directions (is 12 twelve or one-two?).

@maikerujkd @Sajam The problem with emojis is that they're slow to type and also handled very inconsistently, especially across different platforms. Case in point, copy pasting your QCF gives me a camera for some reason? ⬇️📷➡️ Character encoding is weird.

This is more about how to communicate with new players than anything else. Every hobby has a language that belongs to it, if somebody is new you have to learn to speak theirs

@gooncaveowner34 @ThaJawDropper With full circles it's also because they can usually be done from any starting point in any direction, eg. 6248 instead of 4268. I think I'd only write it out if it did have to be a specific circle, like clockwise starting from up or something.

@ThaJawDropper half circles and full circles often get shorted to drop the intercardinal numbers so like a half circle back forward would just be 426 or a full circle is just 4268 or much more often just 360/720/1080 since circles are 360 degrees

@Midnightzer0_ @PhiDXGames Numpad doesn't even make much sense for 360s since they're technically 16 inputs in one. People just do 360/720/1080 instead. Numpad is great but people definitely overstate the simplicity of it. Like, you're not going to get far without adding in j and [], at the very least.

@PhiDXGames It’s a good notation system with its uses but numpad absolutists will tell you it’s always the best, like 360 motions in 2D games just write SPD or 360, there’s no need for 41236987, shit looks like a phone number
