@candacerthomas thank you for you recommendation on "Word on the Street" of the game "Arise: A Simple Story". Utterly beautiful on the Steam Deck, both visually, audio, and story. Like a mental massage to the brain. Good luck with Ghost, and hope to hear you on the podcast again.

@jjbax @quickerbybike @Absolutemtb1 You killed it that ride Josh. Salted peanuts + m&ms. Cheese and ham sarnies, with marmite in for added salt. Pork pies. Salt, protein, and fat. Early and often.

@quickerbybike @Absolutemtb1 @darkrock Good luck! SDW with it's water taps usually pretty relaible but I know also the feeling of turning up to one and it's disconnected. At least it does go through towns at certains ports. (Half double was due to lockdown... We did the hardest bit twice)

I’m after a bit of advice here, in the nicest possible way, please only comment if you have actually done it. What food do you use to fuel yourself on an 6 hour+ circa 100km MTB ride. No where to pick up food along the way. I’m thinking flapjacks and gels/energy bars?

@Dimillian 100% to all those things. The first is one is really like. You could then have a much more decoupled way of linking models together.

#SwiftUI wishlist: * A proper way to access Environment(Object) from ObservableObject. * A proper, well documented way to init StateObject within the view initializer. (You absolutely can today, but it’s feel weird). * A better way to control ForEach content re-computation

@Megan_Sayers I started with mas.to as it had a sound moderation policy and a short URL. I then used movetodon.org to help find people I wanted to keep connected with over there.

What mastodon server should I join?! Does it matter?

@Megan_Sayers Doesn’t matter really, but unlike Twitter there is the “local feed” which is all the toots that are from that server, and the “federated feed” which is all the servers talking to each other. The system has support for migrating a user from one server to a different one.

When you get a non-vector at 2x design through, and almost every element is an odd dimension, you've got to start asking yourself "does the designer overtly hate me?"

The real kicker is that I was super excited about the future of AppCode as they've just rolled out a new UI for it in beta which is *great*.

It unfortunately means I'll be cancelling my @jetbrains license bundle because @appcode was the 95% use, with the others tacked on for occasional use. It was one of the few costs that was a no brainer.

So as an attempt to "rip off the bandaid" of @AppCode no longer being a thing. I've been trying to use Xcode. I'm miserable. I've got to not only contend with wildly different keybindings, but also a distinct lack of feature parity when it comes to navigation, completion, git etc
