@ENNEPS One of the trickiest things to learn as an editor is to know when NOT to cut. This editor has yet to learn that. I'd love to get a good, long look at the rocket being rolled out, but alas, I will not.
Roscosmos has successfully launched their next generation Medium-class launch vehicle Soyuz-5 was launched from Baikonur's pad 45, on the first test flight.

Marking tags. We have had a bit of trouble w permanent markers staying on tags. Later this year this tag could be washed blank so we started using this thread burner as electric pen on tags
Seems to work 😳
@DJSnM Did you see this? This was not the flyover aircraft, I took this screenshot shortly after that happened. It lingered for another 10 mins or so then flew off.
@TrueFactsStated@TrueFactsStated my thoughts are I know for a fact that this person tracked the wrong plane. I know because I watched it live. And Trump didn't take off from Philadelphia.
Kash Patel & his girlfriend are on Katie Miller’s podcast. Kash said he has to work very hard to make their long distance relationship work: “Like anybody else, we get on planes and met where we could. Sometimes Nashville, sometimes Vegas, or on the road where she’s performing.”
FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE JUNE, THERE ARE NO FEDERALIZED TROOPS DEPLOYED TO THE STREETS OF LOS ANGELES.
Thanks to the work of many, this clear authoritarian overstep by Trump has ended.
So we see that N259UP was already rotating when the engine breaks off, first the rear of the pylon breaks and the engine pitches up, before the forward attach point breaks. The engine continutes to generate thrust for a moment due to fuel still in lines, and accelerates up over the top of the aircraft.
A large fire starts on the left wing.
And in the final frame here it looks like the center engine is blowing fire out the back, possibly due to ingesting debris, or hot gas from the wing fire.
The NTSB preliminary report isn't specific on what caused the loss of performance, but we know that the aircraft must have been reduced to one operating engine around this time.
@marcel_cameraop Oh damn. I was sort of wondering, trying to compare it to your other photos and it sort of looked like you! Oh well, you got a shout out on the chase, you're everywhere these days!
@marcel_cameraop Great job today. All the news helos are now outside the TFR, which previously was 400 ft. agl. Did they increase that to keep you guys out? I don't see it updated online.
Making history @helinetaviation …. The very first news gathering helicopter fleet equipped with Starlink technology…. To say game changer is putting it lightly. Taking news to the next level!
This was a true team effort… thanks to all Helinets ENG / Maintenance/ Management crew is second to none… tip of the spear always pushing technology to the next level.
@doitforbmoore here we go! Off to the races
Iron Dome vs Golden Dome
Any halfway decent structural engineer will know the stresses on domes depend on the weight of the material (W) and the radius (a). The meridian stress is compressive and starts at 1/2 W.a at the center of the dome and rises to W.a at the base of a full hemisphere.
The hoop stress also begins as a compressive stress of 1/2 W.a, but decreases and becomes a tensile strength at about 52 degrees, rising to a peak tensile strength of W.a at 90 degrees.
So, as you can imagine strength to weight ratio is critically important, and as a result an Iron dome can be built 10 times larger than a gold dome since gold has terrible strength to weight ratios.
And of course Titanium Dome beats them both!
Time. We are into June and now the planting window for corn closes rather quickly. Need a couple days to finish corn circles.
Forecast is for rain about every evening after tonight. We are on the wet side of good conditions but that isn’t all bad.
