No they’re not. Nobody at Newcastle has heard anything about this, so there are no talks let alone advanced ones.

DF: Brady could be huge for us, I’d have had Omo over Dunne.
MF: Though it’s our most hated on area I really like the makeup of it, Vale a welcome addition.
FW: A big concern with our reliance on Troy and Ogbene.

@truereddevil99 Haha that was the big criticism of Carrick for years was the fact that he couldn't tackle like Keane.Hargreaves was even brought in to help Carrick out in that department.
Keane absolutely carried the ball incredibly. Honestly, go back and watch footage of Roy and you'll see it.

@truereddevil99 This is a wild take. I've watched utd since the 90s. Carrick was a different type of player to Keane but I don't see what Carrick could do better than Roy. I watched Roy carry Utd and Ireland for years. Probably from 96 to 2002, Keane was the best midfielder in the world.

@truereddevil99 The poor lad was only 21 when he passed. Ferguson thought that Phil Jones had the potential to be our best ever at that age. Most people would suggest Roy and Robson as our best ever. Keane may be a parody of himself currently but you cant question his greatness as a footballer.
