@ANT_1515 @Skint_Eastwood1 Agreed. Too many people identify themselves with their politics or party. So they have to constantly qualify their opinions. It’s exhausting. Don’t care who you voted for in the last election. Don’t care. Your value and internal compass isn’t tied to a vote.

@Skint_Eastwood1 Curious from those in the comments. Why do you feel you have to say something like “I don’t agree with his politics” before you proceed to give your opinion on this altercation? Genuine question.

@BrumbaughK57947 @BenGrahamUK This graphic has been out a while and is misleading - and the % for man made is just wrong. This does illustrate how balanced the atmosphere is. It’s a snowball. More CO2 also increases water vapor released by the ocean - which is also a greenhouse gas.

@darrell1118 @BenGrahamUK I used to feel the way you do. And then I learned the truth the amount we contribute. Believe it or not it is insignificant.

We’re told a 1°C temperature rise is proof of man made climate catastrophe. Yet over billions of years, earth has seen far greater swings, ice ages, warming periods, all without fossil fuels. At what point do we question the narrative instead of blindly funding it?

@BrumbaughK57947 @BenGrahamUK And if it gets too high - we all die. And here we are - BILLIONS of people pumping CO2 right into the atmosphere there. Every single day. Billions. I mean - billions of cars, trucks, ships, planes, energy (coal/oil), plants - I mean - to think that doesn't have an affect.

@BenGrahamUK We’ve only been on earth for a very short time. There have been temperature changes with and without humans. The earth is nice and green now thanks to CO2. It’s not a pollutant. It’s the gas of life! If it gets too low we all die.

@Gerard1960 @BenGrahamUK Right. I mean, 7-8 Billion people - that's a lot of cars, trucks, energy, ships, manufacturing - EVERY SINGLE DAY. Pumping into the atmosphere a known greenhouse gas that absorbs heat radiated from the Earth. But - it's just a crazy coincidence.

@BenGrahamUK Oh, definitely. Because a 10,000-year natural cycle is totally the same as a 150-year human-driven spike. Clearly, CO2 levels hitting a 3-million-year high while we burn fossil fuels is just a wacky coincidence. Science is so dramatic, right?

@Rokeniswatching @BenGrahamUK @bsec_wales The science is pretty clear. More CO2 in atmosphere. CO2 traps heat radiated back from the earth - a lot of this heat gets radiated back to the planet. They can isolate the type of CO2 (man-made). I mean, it's science - but it's not exactly brain surgery to follow the facts.

@BenGrahamUK @bsec_wales We’re told that.. yet there is no actual provable connection between what we do and the global temp change. Our instruments need to be one or two orders of magnitude more sensitive to give us an honest clue.

@GoodAtBingo @BenGrahamUK Survive - sure. The current middle of the road models don't forecast doom and gloom. It forecasts change. Changes in weather patterns, which will affect things like agriculture. Living spaces - most of our major cities are on coasts. It's about change. Not extinction.

@PaulPallaghy @BenGrahamUK This is a very reasonable response! Doom and gloom - no. But changes - yes. Changes that we will have to adapt to. From agriculture to livable space along the coastlines. Different weather patterns, more severe weather than we are use to in areas not accustomed to it.

@BenGrahamUK It is oversold BUT basic greenhouse physics does predict the 1-2 C delta we appear to be experiencing. It's the ADDITIONAL feedbacks which are harder to predict and of course the green sector emphasizes the higher end of the spectrum.

@BenGrahamUK We're told a 5°C fever is proof of a physiological health catastrophe. Yet over billions of years, the sun has seen far greater heat, solar flares, fusion cycles, all without blood cells. At what point do we question the diagnosis instead of swallowing the pills? #BensAdummy

@RayBow780271 @KateFantom @BenGrahamUK This - it does prove that events such as melting ice sheets can affect the ocean currents and climate change. So it's important to understand the event. But it does not challenge our current understanding of increased CO2 in the atmosphere now - but it helps us predict/understand

@KateFantom @BenGrahamUK Younger Dryas Termination about 11,000 years ago saw temp increase of 10C or so over a few years. That of course doesn't negate man made global warming.

@JackofKitemanTV @DavidJHarrisJr @grok Proveable facts? The code for what constitutes hate speech isn’t “insulting Mohammed”. We just disagree. This is what’s wrong with social media. Anyone can make something up and post it - and others believe it to be true - and it’s all designed for shock value / hatred / fear

@darrell1118 @DavidJHarrisJr @grok You'd have to show that he at least said something similar. The quote of the Spanish politician jibes up with proveable facts. This, not so much. You might have a defamation suit, for this.

🚨Insulting Islam will result in 5 years in Prison in Spain! Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez says, "There is no place among us for those who insults religions...and anyone who insults the Prophet Muhammad or the Islamic religion will face a prison sentence of five years." Thoughts?

@JackofKitemanTV @DavidJHarrisJr @grok lol. It’s a lie. This meme is attributing a quote to a politician he didn’t make. The meme has quotation marks (that’d punctuation - not art) and the OP directly says that the PM said these words. Which is a blatant lie. Not art. Divisive speech - which works based on comments

@JackofKitemanTV @DavidJHarrisJr @grok Because anyone can make a meme and attribute speech to a politician. If they had to publicly refute every made up claim, they’d be consumed. It’s much better to condemn those that make and proliferate this made up content.

@darrell1118 @DavidJHarrisJr @grok Yes, it is assumed that the politician supports his country being conquered, like that. No one is denying it though. The Public is not a court room. Someone should have stuck up for him.

@JackofKitemanTV @DavidJHarrisJr @grok In Spain, hate speech is defined by Art 510 of the Criminal Code as publicly inciting hatred, hostility, disc, or violence against indiv or groups based on charact such as race, religion, ideology, sexual orientation, gender, or disability. Punishment includes 1-4 yrs in prison

@JackofKitemanTV @DavidJHarrisJr @grok No - it's not. The words in this meme are completely made up and do not reflect the sentiment of the hate speech code. Insulting Mohammed does not get you 5 years. No more so than it does in the US. This rhetoric is intended to cause division, hatred, and fear.

@darrell1118 @DavidJHarrisJr @grok It's OK to treat something that is substantially true as being true. It has to be OK because it is next to impossible for any statement to be absolutely true.

@JackofKitemanTV @DavidJHarrisJr @grok Substantially true is not the same as making stuff up and posting it - this in itself is fostering division. Just see the comme from ppl who think he really said this. Which is what it is meant to incite. Their hate speech code is not specifically for insulting Islam.
