The idea that teachers will have to teach a “both sides” view of the Holocaust or the Holodomor is absurd.
The curriculum is explicit about the horrors of these crimes and there are clear learning outcomes set out for these lessons to be taught
Bill 25 will not change that.

@JasonGregor @GarrettKAlberta I know when I teach construction I always make it political….just before a student uses a band saw, I make sure to outline how conservative policies have impacted the price of lumber. Hahaha

If this had happened during the strike, ambulance would have never got there in time because of the job you have done with our healthcare system!

I am deeply disappointed by what is heard in this recording. Teachers have a duty to remain professional and politically neutral in the classroom.
Students are there to learn math, language, science and critical thinking based on the approved curriculum, not to be subjected to profanity, partisan attacks, or insults toward Alberta’s ethical energy workers and their families. Our classrooms must be places of respect where every student, and every family, feels welcome regardless of their political views or where they work.
