Once you give up refined sugar and processed foods, you realise how little there is to buy in supermarkets.

@Paimaamu Slow cooked dal over night tastes something else. Also dal was slow cooked on coals that were already burnt in the old days. Most Parsis still believe that dhansaak dal should not be pressured cooked

Cook daal without a cooker. Cook it slowwwlllyyy. It tastes different and this is not superstition. Although, it’s not energy efficient or sustainable. Do it on good occasions.

@KiranManral I remember studying that 32 is the hottest that it would get in May. Now that’s the coldest it gets in April.

I remember a time in my childhood when we didn’t have fans in our house and didn’t really need them. I must have been a toddler. When I first saw a ceiling fan in someone’s home I was fascinated. Of course, I’ve carbon dated myself now. But that was Bombay then. Today, I suspect Constantine has cracked the portals of hell open. #MumbaiHeat

@PuJoshi @LalitAditya1212 Yes having a separate lift is not classist it’s about efficiency. They use the lift a lot more than us and they outnumber the residents.

@LalitAditya1212 Unless you live in a building with a common lift in an old almost heritage structure building you don’t have the right to comment about South Mumbai.

@LalitAditya1212 Have you lived in a building which has a common lift. I have and I still do. With the number of parcels delivery orders help and drivers in modern metro lifestyle. The lift is constantly being used by them. Actual residents have to wait for sometimes 10 15 mins for a lift.

@Ravenismeee Therapy. Surrounded myself with the best people I could at that time. Stopped following 90% accounts on Instagram. Watched a lot of standup comedy.

You are not going to be able to change it immediately. The only way of reducing it is by economic empowerment and that is not going to happen because poor people are the strongest weapon in politicians arsenal to expand their kingdoms

It might be a very controversial opinion but I don’t have followers so doesn’t matter Caste based discrimination in this country is part of our culture and ethos. All our rituals laws customs have a cast component embedded in it. It’s ingrained in us for thousands of years
