This site is very angry-making. Time for a nice long break I think. I managed to quit FB, I can probably quit Twitter too.

@dartacus @DudgeChong @SkyNews Necessary at the start, as a bridge to gaining immunity in the populations eldest/most vulnerable. But I believe went on for too long, became knee jerk, default & are now a political tool as much as anything else. As a result have caused more longer term harms all over than good.

@WYP_DavePurcell If no offence was committed, did you obtain the permission of the residents before publicly posting images of their now-vulnerable-to-burglary houses?

"Hi, just thought we'd let you know that even if you've got no drugs in your house we can kick your doors in perfectly legally. We're not threatening or anything, honest. Anyway here's a couple of pictures of people's broken doors only it's OK because we're the Police."

@fesshole As a nipper in Yorkshire I though an 'Arthur' was a type of relation like an uncle, because my Grandma was always talking about 'our Arthur'.

When I was a kid, I used to think that you were given a young-sounding name when you were born, something like Ben, but when you became an old man, you had to change it to something like Arthur or Seth.

@jjsmclaughlin A competent banker does not necessarily make a competent economist.

My code must be completely incomprehensible because PHPStorm is suggesting I download an Asturian spelling and grammar checker, and as far as I'm aware that's a fictional fantasy country from the Belgariad.

The Met Police won’t be telling the public about new partygate fines until after the local elections. In other words: the Met is suppressing information that could swing voters against the Conservatives. Another institution that seems to hold voters and democracy in contempt.

I love how we need a committee to decide if Boris Johnson misled Parliament when he was filmed doing it and we all watched it live.

I was on a dating app and a guy jokingly wrote “what should we name our first child?” as his intro message and I had to tell him that in fifth grade I lost a bet to my best friend Hannah and have to without question name my first born child Megatron and then the man unmatched me

@EmilyKaitlinnn Mrs. D asked me what we were calling our youngest. Middle name would be Ray after her dad. I was not allowed Sting, Manta, Gamma or even Xavier (so he could be X Ray). Quinn dodged a bullet there to be fair, probably you did too because this bloke sounds humourless.

@Da1nOnlyCMart I mean my wife's dad is one of seven siblings, she's got about a billion cousins, but *9*. Wow. Dedication.
