Nobody judged Curse of Osiris on the actual content it contained, nor should they have the game was in a really rough spot and the expansion did zero to fix anything fundamental. That being said if something 1:1 to Curse of Osiris content wise had come out post-Forsaken, people would have been pretty happy with it. Really wish they had never pivoted off the two paid content drops between expansions model.

For reference, I’m one of the five COO was fun, the area not having sparrows was a good decision, the campaign was fun and interesting but we should’ve been allowed to replay it Mercury was a cool destination even if small And the IF should’ve let you in for shenanigans in PVE

I feel nothing but faint nostalgia for Curse of Osiris. The expansion truly was ass. That said, I want it back so bad. Mostly for the sake of game preservation, and the 5 people that did actually enjoy this DLC

@WWWOOOOOOOOWWW1 That is an individual who has spent far too long farming special planetary material drops for the exotic sword quest. It has been over an hour since they got one, brain is now sludge.

@NuCaloric Bungie outright said many times pre-release that the farm was going to be the game's primary social space, the reveal of the D2 Tower after the campaign was a complete surprise. They also kept the Taken King subclasses hidden until after release.

Revenge of the Sith is not better than Return of the Jedi. Revenge of the Sith barely makes any fucking sense. The Dude has one fucking nightmare, flips out. Believe the first fucking person that says he can save his wife. Dosn't do any research. Goes on a killing Spree. And then when his wife dies anyways and emperor clearly lied to him. He like "Sure ill be your bitch". Vader Redemption makes much more sense than that.

"Bungie killed Destiny for Marathon" has never made sense to me because some of the game's best periods occurred when Marathon was in active development. That argument only works if you're specifically talking about Crucible.

@TheoRedgrave @darthyucky @DrunkSuperman3 Padme or the Jedi could have literally just bought her out of slavery and freed her, Even from a strategic perspective for the Jedi, having the guilt of abandoning his mom to slavery fester would be an idiotic thing to allow for someone so strong with the Force. It's indefensible

@cmflynn75 @DrunkSuperman3 Obi-Wan was on the council's side on the matter of training Anakin, he only reversed position to honor Qui-Gon's dying wish.

@darthyucky @DrunkSuperman3 Bro they were both willing to bend the rules by defying the council to train Anakin, it's not like their morals weren't flexible. As Queen Amidala isn't bound by the Jedi and had more than enough resources to buy Shmi if they weren't going to take her by force. It's preposterous

@BellularGaming I really hate nihilistic writing. Modern writers can't write a decent/satiafying ending where good triumphs over evil these days... and it's only gonna get worse with a sequel since the real talent already left.

@darthyucky @DrunkSuperman3 Or, and stay with me now, he could have gone to Obi-Wan & Queen Amidala and said "Hey I just saved us all from the Federation Droid army, it sure would be swell if you helped me rescue my mom from slavery" and what were they gonna say "Nah kid sorry, sucks to suck"?

@darthyucky @DrunkSuperman3 One of the biggest problems I had with the prequels was the idea that Anakin wouldn't have almost immediately rescued his mother from slavery. Made absolutely no sense.

How does Sony acquire bungie and not immediately get them to start working on destiny 3. Makes 0 sense, I love marathon but that shouldn’t stop multiple projects from being pitched and workers on. Same thing with naughty dog, these companies are out of touch with fans

@MallowTheQueen If you have somebody with a shoddy connection in the fireteam, the tether mechanic has significant issues. It was the same case for the Val Ca'uor fight in Spire of Stars, the ball throwing mechanic there would break if somebody had a bad connection.

@darthyucky @ilikewalot Wouldn’t it have to be the same as destiny 2 to keep the whales they’ve cultivated and turn off the same people who lapsed because of the fomo, never collect everything, fall behind on complex systems, live service style of development + the aesthetic changes of eververse

while i appreciate the sentiment and it makes me glad to see how many people have shown that they still care and hold destiny close to their heart if bungie were to release destiny 3 tomorrow no one would play it

@darthyucky Empire at War's greatest fallacy was trying to appease a market that had two distinctively different RTS consumers; competitive and casual/roleplaying. There's a reason why RTS games are pretty scarce in terms of traditional RTS these days.

Zoomers are doing stolen valor again. MILLENNIALS played these games. Your average zoomer was in pre-K or hadn't even been born when most of these came out. Moreover, many of these games aren't even good. Let's go through the list: 1) STARFIGHTER: inferior version of ROGUE SQUADRON. 2) JEDI STARFIGHTER: inferior sequel to STARFIGHTER. 3) RACER REVENGE: who puts this game over EPISODE I: RACER? 4) CLONE WARS: mediocre. 5) SUPER BOMBAD RACING: lol. 6) BOUNTY HUNTER: terrible piece of shit with terrible level design, terrible shooting, and terrible hit detection. 7) OBI-WAN: never played but is recognized as one of the worst Star Wars games ever made, probably because it was rushed for the Xbox's launch. 8) EPISODE III: mediocre. 9) FORCE COMMANDER: ungodly terrible game. What kind of retard designs an RTS with flight simulator style camera controls? (Also zoomers playing an RTS, lol. They probably think MOBAs are too hard n stuff.) 10) JEDI POWER BATTLES: mediocre. 11) BATTLEFRONT: merely decent, glorified reskin of BATTLEFIELD 1942. 12) BATTLEFRONT II: same. 13) KOTOR: very good game dragged down by bad BioWare writing. 14) KOTOR II: overrated, still good, but weighed down by Obsidian's terrible design, inability to bug test, inability to meet deadlines. 15) Why is the same game listed twice? 16) JEDI ACADEMY: good, but inferior to JEDI KNIGHT II. 17) JEDI OUTCAST: good, but inferior to the original JEDI KNIGHT. 18) REPUBLIC COMMANDO: never played, but everyone says it's good, so I'll take their word for it. 19) LEGO STAR WARS: never played because I was a teenager when that came out. 20) LEGO STAR WARS II: same. I don't know how you make a list about the "golden age of Star Wars gaming" and exclude half the Star Wars games that were both good and innovative. Where's DARK FORCES? JEDI KNIGHT: DARK FORCES II? ROGUE SQUADRON? SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE? EPISODE I: RACER? REBEL ASSAULT II? Any of the X-WING games? These games had a lasting effect on game design. The X-WING series defined the space simulation genre, while DARK FORCES and its sequel introduced FPS innovations like multi-level areas, multiple endings, and the ability to aim in 360 degrees. The 2000s wasn't the "golden age of Star Wars gaming," it was when LucasArts lost the plot and started turning out turd after turd like OBI-WAN and BOUNTY HUNTER. It was so bad that they had to start hiring external developers and shifting their focus to original IPs. There's a reason why the best games on this list weren't made by LucasArts: Pandemic (BATTLEFRONT and BATTLEFRONT II), BioWare (KOTOR), Obsidian (KOTOR II), JEDI KNIGHT II and JEDI OUTCAST (Raven). The list also excludes two other good games from this era that were made by other developers: GALACTIC BATTLEGROUNDS (Ensemble) and EMPIRE AT WAR (Petroglyph). Get out, tourist.
