It's amusing how Protestants have this mythical belief of a "primitive" church centered on Scripture alone and an evil Catholic Church that added to it, when in reality the "primitive" Church was thoroughly Catholic and it was the Protestants who innovated by subtracting from it.

To the primitive church? Does @WesleyLHuff know about the Didache? The Didache circulated while the Apostles were alive, it was even read at mass decades after the last apostle died. The teachings in it are identical to the teachings of the RCC today. This is not very Christian. She was a devout Jew. Even if there was a planned parenthood she would have never gone an had an abortion. She would not have thought about it with Jesus or ANY of her other children that she had with Joseph.
