@micah_erfan Actually, Dems have gerrymandered so much over the decades, there aren’t many states in which they can do more of it. Ever wonder why the northeast has 50% republicans with zero GOP congress reps? Coloring gerrymandering as a response to republicans is disingenuous.

Republicans just brutally gerrymandered Texas, North Carolina, Ohio, and Missouri. Not a single resident got a vote on it. Now Democrats proportionally respond with the backing of a vote of the people, and you whine? Spare us.

@Apolocalypses @abstractedaway @BillKristol If the court size is changed by state, by congressional act, then that is legitimate, whether or not the Republicans like the justices that ultimately get seated. Every single seat, including the Chief's, are established by law.

@Apolocalypses @abstractedaway @BillKristol The only major attempt to expand the court since it was contracted to 9 has been FDR's attempt in the 1930s. We don't have to directly emulate that plan, but the court should be expanded past 10.

@Apolocalypses @abstractedaway @BillKristol If the 4 new justices are established through congressional acts (as every other justice seat that's currently active has been) then the 4 new justices are just as valid. There actually used to be a 10th seat in the late 19th century.

@JamieDyckes @micyoung75 @BillKristol Not necessary. The only requirement for the Supreme Court is for there to be a Chief Justice and some Associates and they get life tenure. Life tenure is the only rule on the justices. Nothing prevents them from being rotated to the lower courts.
