In addition to helping maintain p5, for my day job, I make a motion graphics video editor, Butter. I think the best way to do that is have every component be creative code, so we've been building an editor for developers to create components out of regular p5 sketches. A thread:

@openprocessing @bluesky I sorta hope Threads doesn't win out because do we really need another Meta thing being huge? But also being able to follow Threads people from Mastodon without being fully on Threads does seem like a maybe healthy compromise

@openprocessing @bluesky Bluesky feels more like it's in the same niche as Twitter, for better or for worse haha. Hopefully it'll stay non-toxic like it is right now. I don't know enough about its take on algorithms/moderation/etc to know if it'll be effective at staying that way long term
