@mrsangovePE Spare kit. If they refuse we use our sanction system. Contact home and discuss why? Been so much better since we had decent spare kit and stopped detentions for forgetting kit.

PE teachers… please tell me what you do with students who bring the totally wrong kit to lessons. I.e we wear black. Students are turning up in multicoloured Monterrain/bright blue tracksuits etc… How do you deal with it? TIA 🙏🏼

We’re not telling our staff where they are next year yet. The earlier people know the earlier they can’t help but move on in their heads. With 6 weeks of this term left that’s 16% of the year where, with the best of intentions, their current class won’t get their full attention.

@DrSwiftTeaches @adamboxer1 The point I am trying make is that the inability to recall immediately or in a week doesn’t define that learning has been missed. Delayed recall happens and can be demonstrated when something else helps connect dots later in time

@davey_aaron @adamboxer1 Is your question here really just asking if recall is sufficient when application is needed? If so, then surely not only are they separate questions with separate potential solutions, but the recall is the prerequisite step in most cases.

If a tree falls down in the woods and nobody is around to hear it, did it make a sound? If a student covered something in class and a week later has forgotten it, did they really learn it?
