@SimplyWithFaith @TribeRuffner The test you are talking about is not the real test. Why did the council convene? To stop the rot that was questioning Jesus’s divinity. Mormonism falls every test for being from God. Not one test is cleared
English

This is an explicit example of why the LDS believe apostasy resulted in the loss of doctrine and authority at the death of the apostles.
The apostles themselves prophesied of the apostasy, see: • 2 Thessalonians 2:3 “That day shall not come, except there come a falling away first…”
• Acts 20:29–30 “After my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you… Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things…”
• 2 Peter 2:1 “There were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you…”
• 2 Timothy 4:3–4 “The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine… And they shall turn away their ears from the truth…”
The apostasy wasn't an overnight event. It was a graduate degradation and doctrinal drift.
Want more evidence? Why was the Council of Nicaea convened? Christian communities had different doctrines, and Constantine didn't want a split in the empire.
Question: There is strong evidence that most of the NT 27 books were written to help clear doctrinal pollution that continually popped up in the Church. If so, how likely is it that doctrine dramatically improved when the apostles died?
Christ did not leave an idea on earth — He left commissioned/authorized men to act in His place. And when the commission disappears, only Christ can give it again.
• Catholics/Orthodox cannot preserve authority without proving succession.
• Protestants cannot reform authority without commission.
Both systems fail the same test. Without succession, a restoration is needed.

@GuyInco15542744 @ThomBradley8 According to the BOM how long did darkness last after Jesus died on the cross for our sins?
English

@GuyInco15542744 @ThomBradley8 You mean taken from the Bible and misused? The devil did that a lot to.
English

@GuyInco15542744 @ThomBradley8 No he won’t he will probably get rewarded for resisting the lie
English

@ThomBradley8 Yeah that describes people rejecting the Book of Mormon to a t
English

@beetle67a The Book of Mormon is His word for our day. Don’t reject it
English

@GuyInco15542744 I have no problem with new revelation unless it contradicts with the Bible. Mormonism contradicts the Bible. Therefore Mormonism is not a new revelation but a lie.
English

@TripDynasty @AaronAsher11 Not deflecting. Just simply the truth.
English

@Mordie_Kai @Sola_GPT When you are reading the passage let ur will be done not mine. This is Jesus temporary limiting Himself, submitting to the Father. But make no mistake this is Jesus’s will showing us how we should act towards God who He is one with. 3 persons and 1 being. God’s will not wills
English

@Mordie_Kai @Sola_GPT Jesus and Father’s will was the same. They both chose this. They are the same being. Not the same person. Father’s will and Jesus’s will are not two separate beings agreeing but one being executing their will.
English

@Mordie_Kai @Sola_GPT No you have been misinformed. Israel believed in a lot of false gods. God whole point was He is the only real God. This why Israel became monotheistic. They been monotheistic for a long time beginning in the ancient times.
English

@davidHenkel20 @Sola_GPT No. Pre-600 B.C. Israelites did not accept monotheism. They were henotheists, with God Most High (notice the word _most_, implying He's the highest GOD), and his Son, the Lord of lords, Jehovah.
English

@Mordie_Kai @Sola_GPT Because for a little while Jesus was made lower than angels as Paul writes. This a temporary state Jesus underwent for us. Even still fully God He was made in the likeness of sinful flesh. Jesus is displaying how we should act. Think about it can you hurt Jesus now physically?
English

Why did Jesus say, "Not my will but thine be done," then? Why did Jesus says that the Father knows something He doesn't? Why did Jesus pray that the disciples would be one in the SAME WAY that He and the Father are one? This isn't complicated.
Just accept what the BIBLE says and stop arguing for 4th century creeds, which is all you're doing. Just read the freaking Bible, for the love of God. Literally, for the love of God. What does the BIBLE say. Forget dogma.
English

@Mordie_Kai @Sola_GPT According to the ancient Israelites God is one being. So which is it are you choosing what they believed to agree with you and throwing out the rest?
English

@davidHenkel20 @Sola_GPT Not according to ancient Israelites. Lucifer is an inferior son of The Father, with the same nature as Jehovah but an inferior.
English

@Mordie_Kai @Sola_GPT You did not name anything that proved your point at all. Sorry man weak sauce. You would lose in any debate. Incorrect God’s will is shared between the 3. They don’t have different wills clashing. They are different people but same being,
English

I already named the things that prove it. They're obvious. If Jesus and The Father have two different wills, they're not the same being. If The Father knows something the Son doesn't, they're not the same being. If Jesus prays that the disciples will be one, in the _same way_ that He and the Father are one, they're not the same being.
Also, the million times Jesus calls The Father, "Father," instead of "Me." He calls his Father "God," instead of "Me." At no point doesn't Jesus equate Himself with the Father. He says they're "one," but in Aramaic, that means "a unified whole."
English

@Mordie_Kai @Sola_GPT The devil is created being no relation to Jesus. What nonsense. No the devil was an angel a beautiful one in appearance as his suggest. he wanted to become god and rebelled with 1/3 of the host of heaven. Or so the story goes. Regardless the devil is a created being.
English

@Mordie_Kai @Sola_GPT Jesus never said anything that prove that God is not one being. Quite the opposite. You know man being created in God’s image also reflects a trinity? the Body, Soul and Spirit all separate but 1 being. A 3 in 1. God has a different sort of trinity but a 3 in 1 being like us
English

@WeirdMtnMan @Sola_GPT Perfect. Then we will continue. In John 1 the chapter states everything was created by or through Jesus and nothing was created without Him. However Mormonism thinks this is false. Why the JST attempted to change John 1. How do you reconcile this?
English

@Sola_GPT I’m fine with LDS but no we don’t want to use Jesus’s name
English

@WeirdMtnMan @Sola_GPT Are you starting to see how they are not the same God?
English

@WeirdMtnMan @Sola_GPT if God can do all things and believe the Bible then it is must to believe He can… Now does God have to submit to eternal laws? Because the Christian God created all eternal Laws and time. The god of Mormonism has to submit to eternal laws and he did not create them.
