Men don’t need sex. Our culture is so hypersexualized that the idea of a celibate priest leaves people in disbelief—as if it’s impossible. That’s heartbreaking. Have we really forgotten that self-control and virtue are within reach? Look at Jesus Christ. The most perfect man to ever walk the earth was celibate and sinless before He was crucified for our sins. Shouldn’t He be the supreme model for manhood? Self-mastery. Discipline. Total self-gift—all out of love. Priests choose celibacy so their hearts can belong entirely to God. As St. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 7:32-35: “I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided... I say this for your own benefit... to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord.” Abstinence isn’t just for priests—intermittent abstinence can also be a beautiful practice within marriage if a couple has a serious reason to delay bringing a baby into the world. When practicing Natural Family Planning (NFP), spouses can grow in self-mastery, deepen their love, and remain faithful to God’s design for marriage. Christ is the model. Love is the reason. A risk for Carney with his enormous new PM powers to override regulatory processes to ✅️ projects is perception of corruption. Imagine a Conservative PM with that power. We don't have to imagine just look at Doug Ford. I trust Carney. I don't trust future PMs with that power.

It's pretty weird to expect a new government to come down with a budget just days after being elected and sworn in. That's crazy pants. The Carney Govt taking a few months to consult and pull their agenda together is entirely fair and the responsible thing to do!

Now I can find something like this in seconds, instead of having to spend half an hour downloading raw data and creating a chart. This is consumer price index (i.e. inflation) vs. actual hours worked (gold colour) at main job (never mind that many Canadians work 2 jobs). Inflation is out of control, and Canadians can't keep up. 2/

There's an army of clerks at Stats. Canada that keep collecting data. In a way, this is good, because there's so many of them, that it's almost impossible for the government to censor their own performance data. There's also a big group of software geeks that keep building tools to help us analyze the data. I love these 'trackers' and various 'dashboards'. Ironically, most of the data coming out of Canada these days shows just how poorly our government is managing our country. 1/
