@davidcho (digital publications) and plenty of publications still commission and edit great writing (esp my employer) but I think there's a part of the spectrum that goes unaddressed by the big names now

@davidcho it's a different "good" lol. in traditional quality terms it's worse than all the edited publications but I also think it's cool to find more offbeat / unique writing that's less mediated by institutions. Medium didn't do the same thing, somehow

@davidcho This is cool! I think you should have language settings. I'm looking at spots in Tokyo that are in the app but without any indication that there is no English menu or spoken English. It would help the restaurants if you let people know that.

Realizing now that this exposes a rare moment of <20% battery, which is not at all how I live my life.

So instead of saving places on Instagram/TikTok/YT that you'll never look at again, just share it into the app and it saves it on your map with the content embedded for when you actually need it.
