Watching Kildare and weird feeling. Never been less invested. Westmeath far, far better and this lot have no right to be near the All Ireland. Tailteann sadly is their level and wouldn't make them favourites by a way. God be with the days of being in tears with them. Just, meh.

@sircallihan @SheaSerrano You’re so kind for sharing this. I’ll never forget Tiger Woods posting a -16, 1:68, 2:52, 7, 63 then getting 3 wickets in the 6th quarter. Incredible game

@KarlBrophy 30 years Karl, from start to the first energy on the grid, given our political and legal systems, 30 years until we'd get ANY energy IMO. People suggesting this as a near time fix are not serious, ignorant or bribed. This fixes nothing in the near term, NOTHING.

@daviddickenson7 @PeteFarrell14 It’s also annoying as his comments will be largely consumed by a misinformed American audience who think the famine isn’t over and we just eat cabbage and baked beans on toast all day everyday. When the irony is the food quality is much better in Ireland than US

@Seafordian820 @PeteFarrell14 This is true unfortunately which as you say is very far from the truth. And yes there is no comparison between food quality in Ireland and us I was in Florida in Feb and my stomach has just gotten over it. I was more comparing our actual end product creativity of dishes

@Seafordian820 @PeteFarrell14 Agree, and he should be promoting Irish produce/business in whatever meal he chose. I’m just happy he’s picked put the king of deserts on his menu.

@daviddickenson7 @PeteFarrell14 Haha fair enough. I do get it was a joke and would have been funnier one Irish person to another but for someone who is always banging on about how proud he is to represent us and be from the island, he could have chosen his words more carefully. Things like this do hurt busines

@Seafordian820 @PeteFarrell14 I agree the food we get here in 2026 is fantastic but I think what his joke was that growing up in Ireland in the 80s /90s the traditional Irish dinners we ate were to be frank pretty awful, most people lived for the spaghetti bolognaise on a Thursday or Friday 😂

@daviddickenson7 @PeteFarrell14 There is a negative stereotype around Irish cuisine which is outdated and simply not fair in 2026. I love Rory but he didn’t need to make that comment and offend many restaurant owners and people in tourism/hospitality industry

@Seafordian820 @PeteFarrell14 Yes every day and it’s amazing, and the quality of ingredients are great but the meals themselves that I cook aren’t usually “Irish meals”.

@daviddickenson7 @PeteFarrell14 All food comes from one place specifically. Pasta was taken from the Chinese. Anything orange is also from china originally. The point is the quality of the food. Have you ever eaten food in Ireland?

@Seafordian820 @PeteFarrell14 But creating a menu for a one off event is about the unique dishes and while ireland produces world class produce we aren’t really known for our cuisine, which is the joke here. I love stew bacon & cabbage etc but you wouldn’t cook that for a dinner party.

@daviddickenson7 @PeteFarrell14 Many cheeses etc. I can understand it won’t be everyone’s favourite but to me it is quite inoffensive. It’s also not so much the unique dishes but the quality of the good. All meat is grass fed and live in ideal conditions. Much of the land is agricultural.

@SeanSheehanBA He probably should have said he would use Irish produce/ ingredients which are world class to make what ever meal he wanted. I’m just happy he’s picked the best dessert ever invented.

@daviddickenson7 Bitta stew or bacon and cabbage. Wouldn't take a whole lot of effort. But he has doubled down and basically said he's done this on purpose. That's him!

@SeanSheehanBA I love stew and bacon and cabbage but it’s not really something you would cook if you had friends coming over it’s more of a mid week or Sunday family dinner. The outrage of some people you would think we had the cuisine of France or italy.
