This is currently on Amazon Prime Video, a Bond rip-off from 1969 starring a pre-Bond Roger Moore. Amazing cast of British character actors (including Bernard Lee!) & much glorious footage of late 60s London. Huge recommend.

I just can't with this level of stupidity... Tourette's doesn't care about not saying the right thing. That's the whole point of it. As someone else brilliantly described, it's like OCD where intrusive, disturbing thoughts plague one's mind, but they're not actually representative of who the person is or what they want to think. The difference is that with Tourette's, there's the added compulsion of your body forcing you to vocalise it. It's beyond a person's control, or extremely difficult to keep under control. No, he should absolutely not be apologising for suffering from a condition he has no control over.

@ExInspectorBDS Such a Way to go for understanding of this disability. Like tourettes sufferers can control what they say. Saying THE worst thing imaginable is part of the disability. Would I be offended if he called me a C%nt? No. No-one should be offended by anything a tourettes sufferer says.

My thoughts are with John Davidson today, Tourettes sufferer and campaigner. He's worked hard to raise awareness of a condition that makes people shout horrible things. It happened to him last night. At the BAFTA's. And he's actually being condemned as a racist. By idiots.

It could be argued there’s no “real” Let It Be, as even Spector’s 1970 album is just a mix with overdubs. It’s not like he sat in the studio with The Beatles and produced it. So, as much as Let It Be…Naked is an alternative mix, it’s also a balancing of the scales, a version of the album that McCartney approved of this time. And it’s the one I prefer too. It nails song selection, sequencing and sound better than Spector or Johns versions, though I do love the Get Back album more with each listen. The only misstep on Naked is I Me Mine, which is pretty weak sounding without Spector’s strings. Still, the overall album feels more like the rest of the catalogue, stripped of chatter, choirs and syrupy strings. And it’s got Don’t Let Me Down on it, one of John’s finest late era songs.
