@spimortdev @KenneyNL I'm just waiting for a terrain plugin that works with static lighting. I feel like that's WAY too much material to rely on Voxel GI, especially for VR. I haven't checked in ages; that might exist somewhere on the asset library by now.

You know can try TerraBrush directly in your browser, on itch, with the Live Demo? 🗻 You don't even need to run Godot to sculpt your terrain. Of course, featuring @KenneyNL ' s awesome assets (trees and grass)! Link in the comments 👇 #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev

Amongst my #indiedev I've been itching to make a spritesheet with a Blender plugin for a while and I was thinking if I have a boss that creates a bunch of little enemies that you kill for ammo, why not use it there? #gamedev #fps #godotengine

If I ever made an RPG like Symphony Of the Night, I'd make an invisible counter for weapons and armor drops that goes up by a random int of 1-3 on each enemy you kill. Each enemy would have its own threshold, like the counter: 50 for leather plate, 500 for something valuable...

Working on the room in my #VR game where you get your first powerup- the lightning hand. New enemy type is guarding the staircase and I made it visually clear that this is an important room by adding three staircases #godotengine #gamedev

@clemmygames A tie between Undertale and Chrono Cross. Not sure which one is better.

@RavageDeveloper I spend a fair amount of time making the credits in my games fun and interactive, but not much on the tutorial. I'll have to brainstorm some ideas.

Too many developers make the mistake of having a boring tutorial A glimse of your game's skill ceiling should be apparent from minute 1 #gamedev

@Ki3_Games Reminds me of a birthday present I wrote my sister ages ago. It was a 2D dungeon crawler where you make a map and send it to your friends. If they die, you win the match. If they finish your map, they win the match. But it's not nearly as cool as this.

If anyone wants to try the query for themselves: List twenty junior remote indie game companies that are hiring contractors. Prioritize those with at least one finished project and unlisted or lightly advertised jobs. For each, provide website and careers page.

I did a job search query on DeepSeek to find unlisted contracts with small studios. Most of them weren't hiring, but they made some darn cool stuff, so I decided to follow them :D
