There’s a smashing display by @BucksArchives in Friars Square Shopping Centre on Aylesbury’s County Hall construction. Its architect, Fred Pooley, also “did” Chalfont St Peter library, a building which was a gateway to little Timmy’s life of reading & probably love of modernism.

One of my favourite model photographs from the whole of my book, Ramsgate International Hoverport, made by Thorp in 1967 for the architects Barnard, Morris, Evans and Partners. The future of transport looked so bright in miniature in the 1960s!
