@jdxcode I’ve been pondering this lately - I’ve got a “monorepo” that’s a mix of TypeScript, Ruby, Terraform, etc. (it’s a Rails app…). Mise/Pitchfork would be great for a unified interface for dev environments, but I’m still tinkering with the best way to handle it…

I've been tempted for a long time to make mise natively capable of running package.json tasks, e.g: `mise run test`. My hesitation is I don't want it to be capable of really any other task definition and users will expect that.

The United States has spent EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS fighting and policing in the Middle East. Thousands of our Great Soldiers have died or been badly wounded. Millions of people have died on the other side. GOING INTO THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE WORST DECISION EVER MADE.....

You are probably not using LLMs enough to generate non-code artifacts. "Review this PR and then generate an interactive HTML website to explain it. Turn this state machine into a mermaid diagram. Generate a 10,000 word deep research report on the state of the art of CSRF protection."

Us developers have learned the hard way that: 1. Prototyping is more like 10% of the actual work - even though the business folks thinks we're 90% done 2. Shipping prototypes to production is possible but generally a bad idea Vibe coding is prototyping. Others will learn - soon

if you think you can build calendly inhouse with 15 hours of prompting and vibe coding you have no idea how software works

@bradgessler 🙌 thanks for sharing! I’ve been loving Phlex, but have been wondering about best practices for forms (Phlex’s recommendation that “you don’t need helpers” hasn’t sat right with me). Looks like I’ve got my answer 😁

Here ya go! In Superform, you define the form once, then use that same form to assign parameters to a model. If the params are not in the form, they don’t make it through. github.com/rubymonolith/s…

Note the difference in verbosity and readability - 1 line in ruby vs. 21 lines in typescript. Ruby's standard library makes the ruby solution much easier to read, as well (IMO)!

Hot take - #ruby is still the most expressive, readable language to program in. Been brushing up on some @leetcode lately, and the contrast in clarity and conciseness between ruby solutions and others is stark (I was comparing side-by-side with #typescript).
