A Potential deal with the pelicans? Assuming we get the 5th pick, this article suggests that the Wizards should make an inquiry about a trade for Trey Murphy as the Pelicans do not own their 2026 FRP “ A Murphy Davis Sarr frontcourt with Young and Johnson in the Backcourt, would be pretty intriguing “

The worst shooter here has to go. Who is it?

The Orlando Magic and coach Jamahl Mosley are parting ways, league sources told @hoopshype. ESPN first to report. Mosley led the Magic to 3 straight seasons at the .500 mark or better, which wasn’t done since 2009-11. Orlando was eliminated in the first round 3 straight seasons.

"I do think there's a good chance that he may end up somewhere else by the time next season starts" @ChrisBHaynes gives the latest on the future of Anthony Davis with the Wizards Hear Deals and Dunks weekdays from 1-2 PM ET sxm.app.link/DealsAndDunksL…

I’m not sure if Kevin Durant would be willing to play his last few years in his hometown but….AD + a 2027 lottery protected first works for KD + Capela in the 2026-2027 league year when KD’s salary reduces from $54.7M to $43.9M. KD would be a much better offensive fit with Sarr compared to AD imo. Also with the 2027 draft not projected to be as good and with already a lot of young players on rookie deals, I’d be willing to get rid of a non-lottery first to get KD and move off Davis’ albatross of a contract.

A “heavy front runner” has emerged in draft lottery reform to end tanking, per @sam_amick - Change the lottery to 18 teams instead of current 14 - Bottom 10 teams have 8% chance of top pick - Remaining 20% would be divided among the remaining 8 teams (nytimes.com/athletic/72340…)

“They’re playing chess when sometimes it seems I might have been playing checkers. Or our organization might have been playing checkers before.” — Ted Leonsis on the job being done by Will Dawkins and Michael Winger ✍️: Sports Business Journal (@SBJ) 🔗: sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2026/…

The problem with all of this is "chess" has cost the organization three completely uncompetitive years + maybe more, a good deal of fan base & absolutely no guarantee other than the 5th pick or higher.
