Great to support Mondelez @MDLZ at a reception in Parliament today whose factory in #Chirk in #ClwydSouth is the first part of their UK chocolate making process. In Chirk the cocoa beans arrive from Ghana and are cleaned, roasted and processed, ready for the other UK factories.

There are no other viable options for schools in the local area. The situation will get worse as demand for primary school places is expected to grow significantly over the next five years in the area.

Last week we found out that Bowes Southgate Green, the outstanding primary school my two boys attend, is going to be “wound down”. Over 200 local kids now face an uncertain future with classes possibly being merged or mixed across different year groups.
