NBA Commissioner Adam Silver issued the following statement today regarding the passing of NBA Cares Ambassador and former NBA player Jason Collins: “Jason Collins’ impact and influence extended far beyond basketball as he helped make the NBA, WNBA and larger sports community more inclusive and welcoming for future generations.  He exemplified outstanding leadership and professionalism throughout his 13-year NBA career and in his dedicated work as an NBA Cares Ambassador.  Jason will be remembered not only for breaking barriers, but also for the kindness and humanity that defined his life and touched so many others. “On behalf of the NBA, I send my heartfelt condolences to Jason’s husband, Brunson, and his family, friends and colleagues across our leagues.”

@AssocAnderson “No way to flip the House of Representatives this year” Regardless of all the political maneuvers and gerrymandering everywhere no one has voted yet and many people are struggling and aren’t happy.

My mailbox is full from many of you concerned that the Democrats may actually try to retire the Virginia Supreme Court to pack it with activists who will reverse the redistricting decision. They will not do that. Primarily even if they wanted to, they are out of time. The Department of Elections commissioner said in an affidavit that May 12 is the point of no return. Whatever maps they are using cannot be modified after May 12. So even if the Democrats really attempted to try this ill-gotten plan, they would have to do it all before the end of the day tomorrow. It just can’t happen. There is no appeal to SCOTUS. There is no packing the court. The redistricting amendment is dead. All we are watching is desperation manifest itself as the Democrats come to grip that there is no way to flip the House of Representatives this year.

This might be a work in progress but here is my first stab at a predicted bracket. I hate a lot of things that happened here (Middle Tennessee a 2, Ole Miss a 3, Yale a 4, etc.) but stuck first to travel rules (yellow are flights). If you have suggestion send them on and maybe I'll make some changes. BUT, it must result in no more flights or it can;t be considered. If you have a way to reduce the number of flights no matter how silly it should be done and let me know. Working on a women's as well...
