I do understand that women have periods. I also fully recognise that it is an entirely natural bodily function and nothing to be ashamed of. But is it really necessary for a female cricket commentator (on the institution of Test Match Special, no less) to start talking about it in the middle of a match?

Dear @theJeremyVine, You love to highlight the dangerous car drivers that are a threat to you and your fellow cyclists. I was just walking across a Zebra crossing. The cars had stopped. A cyclist then whizzed across me at around 20mph. Half a second later and he’d have wiped me off my feet and given my Osteoporosis, God knows what bones would have broken. I shouted after him but he didn’t stop, needless to say. What a wanker.
