मैंने एक app डाउनलोड की। ऊपर बड़ा सा लिखा था — “Only ₹1 for 7 Days” सोचा बढ़िया deal है… ₹1 में 7 दिन use कर लेते हैं, काम की हुई तो रखेंगे… नहीं तो हटा देंगे। signup किया mobile number डाला UPI लगाया ₹1 कट गया मैं खुश — “वाह, इतना सस्ता भी कुछ मिलता है आजकल?” पहले दिन app बढ़िया लगी दूसरे दिन भी ठीक तीसरे दिन ads बढ़ गए चौथे दिन half features premium पाँचवें दिन बार-बार popup — “Go Ad-Free — Upgrade Now” मैंने सोचा — चलो ₹1 वाली app है… इतना तो चलता है। छठे दिन notification आया — “Your plan will continue automatically” नीचे इतना छोटा लिखा था कि पढ़ने के लिए microscope चाहिए था। सातवें दिन सुबह phone उठाया तो message पड़ा था — ₹799 debited from your account मैंने app खोली support में गया तो reply मिला — “Sir, this was a promotional intro plan.” “Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled.” मतलब ₹1 trial नहीं था… बस ₹799 का advance trap था। पहले ₹1 में अंदर बुलाओ फिर quietly subscription चालू कर दो। आजकल scam सीधे scam बनकर नहीं आता… offer बनकर आता है। और सबसे dangerous fraud वो होता है जिसमें पैसा आपकी permission से कटता है… पर जानकारी आपकी नहीं होती।
