Watching Raoul work is humbling. I’ve never seen anyone give more time, emotion, or effort to their work or care more about the people on the other side of the screen. He carries a lot and never complains, and still offers that calm, steady voice so many are waiting for saying it’s going to be okay. His subscribers and our communities are lucky to have him. I’m the luckiest of all ❤️

@bphillipsonMP If the picture is so rosy, why the whispers of a 4 day week? You are kneecapping our education sector ….
English

For the record:
📈 2,300 more secondary and special school teachers
📈 Trainee teachers up 11%
📈 Physics up 36%
📈 Computing up 44%
📈 Maths up 16%
📈 Attendance improving
📈 Behaviour improving
Labour is getting more children in class & more teachers in front of them.

@bphillipsonMP Are we moving into a world where school is more about social care and less about education? BCs are honourable but ultimately a different policy, and Labour seems to be struggling to maintain a 5 day schooling week, if headlines are to be believed….
English

@narindertweets Infuriating when politicians don’t answer questions directly - they are answerable to the electorate and if this style of questioning is what’s needed to get those answers then so be it…
English

I understand that we need to know if Rachel Reeves lied..but the manner is which Trevor Phillips and now ##bbclaurak are talking to Reeves is shocking. Like she's a naughty school kid - demeaning.
Kemi Badenoch seems to have started this last week.
Rachel Reeves is being bullied as we speak. Horribly bullied.

@BehaviourA @GMB @susannareid100 @darrenpjones It’s a stealth tax… it’s not about being right or wrong
English

@GMB @susannareid100 @darrenpjones Can someone explain to me clearly why if being paid more and therefore going into the next tax bracket is wrong please?
English

'Do you feel you were misled over the country's finances?' @susannareid100 asks @darrenpjones.
This comes as the Prime Minister has defended his Chancellor this morning, after she was accused of lying over the budget.
English

@ZiaYusufUK “Did you lie”…. “Look, I’m a Labour Chancellor…” (it goes with the territory).
English

"THERE WAS NO BLACK HOLE!"
"You had £4.2 billion in the coffers and you didn't tell the public. WHY?"
This is utterly superb from @CamillaTominey. She brilliantly turns the screw on James Murray.
It's impossible to defend this.
And it's not going away.
English

@lester_hickling @RishiSunak @thetimes There is nothing respectful about parliament … have you never watched PMQs. She does what she has to, respect to her for saying what she said / how she said it. Labour are so unaware in any event, it no doubt fell on deaf ears.
English

@RishiSunak @thetimes You should have told your successor Kemi Badenoch how to respond to the budget in a respectful way.
Don’t agree with your politics but you are a gentleman and with the choices we have on the right you would do.
English

I spent too much of my time as Chancellor and PM firefighting (Covid, Ukraine, the mini-Budget).
This week’s Budget didn’t face those shocks, yet it still ducked the big choices. It felt like a survival Budget.

@leeharris Unfortunately, she’s adept at boxing herself into a corner with absolute commitments she can’t maintain. Throw in a slippery time line and selective use of OBR findings, and she’s chipped away at any credibility she may once have had.
English

@LeonardBriscoe3 Why? It is called the Office for Budget Responsibility, not Irresponsibility… a misleading political slant on figures would have surfaced under the proper scrutiny (and should be in any event).
English

@BJennings90 @guardian Brilliant cartoon and so to the point.

@MartinSLewis I’m curious to know how Labour expect AI to impact the economy over the next 5 years and, specifically, the labour market given its repeated efforts to make labour more expensive.
English

@MartinSLewis I am a single mother who works part time and have done my entire adult life I can't do full time because its more expensive. I've had comments in the past saying wouldn't you be better off not working and the answer is yeah I would but no I wanted to show my child that working is
