problem with that tho is they literally might have to replace 4-5 starters on the OL after this year and they knew that going into the draft. I think T is a much > value than a DT and considering the team needs and the near term contracts that T had to be the pick. I would've been ok with taking Graham over Membou if they had just moved up a couple spots for Simmons which they had a shot to do. I just think completely ignoring OL and relying on this year to do that while also needing a QB and WRs was a big mistake

@dbaker1447 @Clevta Good call on Woodson. My pt on Edelman & Brown is that they were primarily WR’s who Bill used as situational CBs. I don’t see why the same cant be done w/ Hunter. That said, I dont watch much college & don’t know Hunter’s skill set that well / which side of the ball would be best

I continue to be confused by those who want to make Hunter a CB full time. Scrap that, give the guy WR coaching full time for the first time and let the guy cook at WR. Stick him at CB in high leverage spots if u want but he’s too electric not to get 40+ snaps a game at WR

Makes perfect sense. The counter argument would be frequency of plays on offense vs magnitude. Theoretically if you had a good play caller you could amplify your EPA for him on offense by giving him high magnitude plays/situations. In other words, you don’t need him to be high volume to be high value

@dbaker1447 @Clevta The “historical path” has generally been set by players who were more talented on the defensive side of the football. Dynamic athletes that could return kicks or offer periodic explosion on offense.

@SelldaJetsWoody @Clevta Can’t speak to those specific situations but I imagine if Bill B thought they’d be better served as defensive players that’s where they would’ve ended up. Charles Woodson is probably more analogous to hunter but it was also a different game with different rules then

@dbaker1447 @Clevta Great point tho I question why this was always the way a two way player was handled. Troy Brown & Julian Edelman were essentially nicklebacks as CB’s for the Pats at one point while they stayed on as offensive contributors. If I recall correctly, they both did pretty well on D

@dbaker1447 Right I guess my point was his impact would be so much greater as a full time WR that I’d much rather have him there and spend no time at CB then full time CB and 10 plays on offense. I want him getting full time coaching at WR. But that’s just my opinion

@TheKardiac_Kid Tbf, Josh Allen is a complete anomaly. There’s really no other example of a QB turning around his accuracy issues like Allen did. He was always a physical freak though.
