Trump: I have much more power in my second term. I said I'm going to sign an executive order to ensure that the second Saturday in December, is preserved exclusively, nobody is playing football. Not Ohio state against Notre Dame. Not LSU against Alabama. Nobody is going to play football for four hours during that very special time of the year in December. It's preserved forever for the army-navy game. If you don't want to watch football, you don't have to. But if you want to watch football, you are only watching one game. You are not watching 19 different games.

Broadcasters that are running hoaxes and news distortions - also known as the fake news - have a chance now to correct course before their license renewals come up. The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not. And frankly, changing course is in their own business interests since trust in legacy media has now fallen to an all time low of just 9% and are ratings disasters. The American people have subsidized broadcasters to the tune of billions of dollars by providing free access to the nation’s airwaves. It is very important to bring trust back into media, which has earned itself the label of fake news. When a political candidate is able to win a landslide election victory after in the face of hoaxes and distortions, there is something very wrong. It means the public has lost faith and confidence in the media. And we can’t allow that to happen. Time for change!

News: Casey Means's nomination to be Surgeon General is facing some trouble. At least one GOP senator has indicated to me they're a “hell no” if it reaches the floor.
Unclear of when a mark-up will be scheduled to vote on the nomination in Senate HELP. Sen. Murkowski and Collins are still undecided.
Murkowski yesterday when asked about Means: "I'm not enthusiastic" about the nomination.
Collins said today she just received Means's written responses to questions the senator submitted, and has not had a chance to review them yet.

There's no question someone in the White House told Trump to call the war in Iran an "incursion," but he heard it as "excursion" and now he keeps calling it that - making the war sound like a holiday getaway - because no one around him ever corrects him when he makes a mistake.

Trump claims the Strait of Hormuz "doesn't really affect us, we have so much oil, we have tremendous oil and gas, much more than we need." The US gets far less oil through the Strait than Asia does, but what happens there clearly affects US oil and gas prices and the US economy.
