@GergelyOrosz Imagine now that you live in a country with 4 national languages and can’t change the language. Low probability to get it right with IP-based localization.
Better: detect browser language, select that at start, let user switch and remember their choice, IMO

I have a new level of frustration with US companies whose services I happily use: and one day they roll out full-on, IP-based localization in a way that you cannot change the language back to what I originally signed up with (aka English).
GoDaddy, PayPal, Business Insider etc.

What does “All Hands” mean? I never asked this question until now, just assumed it’s what we use in tech for “company-wide meeting”.

Incredible how most engineering managers don't realize how measuring developer productivity by visualizing JIRA+git stats is a dead-end if you want truly high-performing teams.
