@NinaPanickssery We live 6 hours from my in-laws, my dad is dead and my mom has chronic health conditions. I would love to have more help from family but realistically no one should have kids planning for family to help because you never know.

Genuinely curious—why don’t more people use their own parents/kid’s grandparents for childcare as opposed to daycare/preschool/nannies (which seem more common)? Is it common for boomer grandparents to show disinterest in their grandchildren?

@agreatdayinnc I can’t believe that people mock others for parents keeping their kids safe. What is the rush to take kids out of the safest seat in a crash. My kids friends don’t even know they still ride in boosters unless they ride in our car. Also, their friends who are under 4’9” ride

Today my oldest son turns 36. I sent him a gift, left him a voicemail and texted him. But I won’t be hearing back from him - not even an acknowledgment that he received his present. Why? Because he hasn’t spoken to my husband or I in seven months because we voted for Trump. I miss him and hope that someday he will come around and realize the damage he is doing to our family by acting this way. My breaking heart is a continual reminder. 💔 I know many of you have similar stories and I pray that your family members come around as well. I’m not asking him to change his politics, but you can’t let it come between family.

@wanyeburkett My oldest 2 slept in until 10 a lot of days. I worked nights and my husband was a stay at home dad. Even my youngest now will sleep until 8-8:30 on the weekends.

My pediatrician actually kicked me out of the room to ask my teenage son if he was comfortable with his gender so I’m not too worried about the people who made those rules feeling sad right now
