The number of people on the Left who are totally detached from what is a high wage is frankly incredible
Slimfit@iSlimfit
The UK government calls £50,271 a “high earner” in London for tax purposes. The UK housing market calls £50k “not enough for a mortgage deposit in London.” Make it make sense.

@vfrostthefourth @nicbarkeragain Why wouldn’t you use apples music app on an apple Mac laptop?
English

@nicbarkeragain Sorry. But you’re using Apple Music on a laptop ? Also Spotify is just as trash a user interface. You’re just used to it.
All apps/streaming have trash UI. It’s like comparing shit to poop.
English

@FemaleScotlandV it's a shite work of art - typical of our satirical mindset.
We don't do art - we don't do beauty, we barely even do meaning. We just kinda do "XXX WOZ ERE" graffiti and call it a masterpiece.
English

@osideandy @FranziaMom I love LCD but it’s no secret they are the modern day talking heads surely? They’re entire live show is talking heads 1980-83
English

@FranziaMom I always thought Home from that album was a ripoff of This Must Be the Place(Naive Melody)
English

Can someone remind me which song this one rips off
Pigeons & Planes@PigsAndPlans
LCD Soundsystem coming up with the melody for "Dance Yrself Clean."

@Wisdom_HQ smoked apple for $400? wild.
what kind of magic are they working with that?🍏
English

@jackiecahill5 @BrianSpanner1 You can park in sandyford/park area for free at weekends and get a bus into the centre or the train into low level central. It’s not that hard
English

@BrianSpanner1 How am I gettng in to Glasgow tonight? Daren't take my car - who knows what hidden forbidden routes I may stumble upon? And if I do, where will I park for £1.20 for 15 minutes? Ah, the subway! Finished at 6. The train? Central is shut.
English

@ScrtDrugAddict Going Friday in Glasgow. His American uptopia show is still the best gig I’ve ever seen
English

It’s the elephant in the room that you can’t even discuss because people will die on the hill that they need their truck to drop their secondary school kids off around the corner every single morning.
Ciarán Nugent@ciarannugent
The difference in traffic when schools are off is astounding
English

@chumpyjones @GunnelsWarren So….youre opposed to the government spending money on healthcare for its own citizens?
English

@GunnelsWarren While were at it. How About the Obama Care the Bernie Co-authored that you support? Let's take a peek. Btw....Since you are quoting Tupac. ""Why are we under the impression that politicians are the problem solvers to everything?"

English

@Streettough @twill_94 @nickycash You haven’t factored in the cost of the cooker to cook it in, the pans, the gas/electric, the plates, the cutlery, the mortgage/rent of your property etc etc which the restaurant does, you are nowhere near doing a roast for 10 people for £25.
English

@twill_94 @nickycash How much meat do you want exactly? It would be fine. I didn’t say it would be michelin starred, but it wouldn’t necessarily be shit.
English

£25 for a Sunday Roast in London is fairly common these days. I can make one for 10 people for that. About 10 years or so the avg cost would have been £12/13. Wages haven’t doubled in that time. In my case they’ve hardly gone up much at all in that time. Is it any wonder?

@henke_hoops Auto tuned to death and every song follows the same structure. Horrible stuff
English

@Paulfwood1 @stevebyrnelive @MarkHamill So he isn’t allowed to talk about politics because he charges for a service?
English

@stevebyrnelive @MarkHamill guys...and he tries to tell you how to think when it comes to politics when charging fans 100s for autographs
English

@RStromangoff @marknelsoncomic Like Stephen Fry, Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Laurie, Rick Mayall etc etc etc
English

@marknelsoncomic I'm criticising the fact they seemingly all studied at prestigious schools. i miss when comedians weren't the upper class
English

@JohnWhyte83060 @AnnieWellsMSP There is only one public transport option for Glasgow airport and it's a bus which you would need to travel to the city centre for to get. Why on earth would you do that for a 6am flight.
English

@AnnieWellsMSP As a fraction of the price of plane ticket(s) it is negligible, and encourages the use of public transport solutions.
English

£7 just to drop someone off for 15 minutes at Glasgow Airport is steep, no matter how you dress it up.
People aren’t using drop-off zones for fun, they’re helping relatives, supporting older passengers, or managing tight travel plans. Airports should be accessible and practical, not quietly pricing people out of basic convenience.

@pinard_je @jb2forty Barber here, absolutely none of us are using Panasonic tools.
