So for those who like to think in relative terms, Menindee Lks look like receiving close to 10 000 GL of inflow inflow this year.
Or 10 000 000 000 000 Litres. ( Ten thousand billion litres ) convert to your favourite container.
Tom Chesson@tomchesson01
On current projections to peak flow rate expected at Wilcannia in coming weeks (~46 GL/day) would be the highest in decades. The lakes have received almost 7,060 GL of inflow this year. A further 2300-2700 GL expected to arrive between now and the end of December.

Food comes from grocery stores, not farms. We good fam.

God forbid: “Farming needs to stop, its the biggest single driver of climate change”

Holy fuck. This video was shown to my boy in school. Now he's a farm kid so called it out. But if this shit is pushed in cities. You can see why conventional farmers are losing the battle.

@matt_quantum @RickHargreaves @nectar_filakis @FloRoberts93 @waynemudge Australians don’t vote for a Prime Minister. We vote for candidates to represent our seat. The party or coalition of reps elect a leader and that person becomes Prime Minister. So Australians don’t vote for Prime Ministers.

@coyle_tim @nig_michael I wouldn’t argue with that, and I understand none of the tech in the Covid vaccines are new or untested they just haven’t been used for this purpose.
English

@dealingdirt @nig_michael And it did, they have been working on COVID vaccines since the sars cov-1 outbreak in Asia in 02-04, has been common to see people of asian decent wearing masks in Syd/melb for years as they’ve been shit scared of it coming back & also had scientists working on it the whole time

While I do not want to take away from the dig at the decisive and profiteering actions currently at play.
But that label is false. Natural immunity always comes at a cost
Michael Hart@nig_michael
And it’s not divisive…
English

@nig_michael I’d say no.
For all my life (well until 18 months ago) the medical fraternity have swore black and blue it take 10 years to get a safe and effective medicine.
English

@dealingdirt If developed in the next 2 years a vaccine for the cold would you take it? Reduced your chance of death from the cold which currently is 4 times more risky than dying of Omicron
English

@nig_michael Yes, my family and I are very thankful for are living situation which allows us to wait and see.
English

@dealingdirt Yep, mix fear and an untested solution and the results stand for themselves, glad I’ve waited to see how efficacy and side effects stack up, but I’m fortunate to live on a farm near a town that hasn’t seen a case. Getting impossible to convince those that have waited this long
English

@nig_michael And the concept of getting a disease being better than getting the vaccine.
English

@dealingdirt Which I agree, but that experiment starts and ends at the recovery or not from Covid whilst the jab starts at injection and finishes the day you die and everyday in between of whatever unknown complications that an experimental pharmaceutical may cause to arise.
