Who remembers GarageBand . com!? Not the Apple app, the early 2000s site where you reviewed bands to earn credits to post your own tracks. 🎸 It was really cool and way ahead of its time. Before social media, streaming, and bs algorithms. You had to listen, rate, and give feedback to earn credits to upload your own music. It had charts, genre rankings, daily stats, and monthly competitions. You could actually climb the ranks and get legit exposure to industry labels they had partnerships with. 100% community driven discovery. I’d spend hours digging through genres. Found so many bad ass unsigned artists. If you were on there back then I’d love to hear your memories of it!? I found 1 archived image of a page from it. 🔥
