Thats what Totk implied. No one knows what the Master Sword is. No one knows what the Hero is. Zelda’s name doesn’t mean anything to them. The sheikah based their symbol around the Zonai. Zelda and Sonia both wear eye accessories. Zeldas powers come from Rauru and Sonia. All Zeldas. Master works has pretty much confirmed this placement. We are just waiting for the official confirmation from Nintendo. How it ultimately shakes out is something Nintendo will have to share with us later. But yea that’s what it seems to be.

It’s amazing how Zelda fans woke up one day and decided that the Wild games were reboots, and now a good chunk of the community accepts it as fact. Crazy stuff. Only in the Zelda community.

@deathbydawn @ZeldaCycle @iwawawaaaaa Princess Ruto is mentioned via the Zora Stone Tablets and Nabooru is referenced by name by Urbosa. Three of the Divine Beasts are also named after the OOT sages (Ruta - Ruto, Rudania - Darunia, Naboris - Nabooru)

@ZeldaCycle @deathbydawn I think I should've explain it better in my original comment. Or course BOTW and TOTK are full of elements from other games, what I meant is that as a result of those elements they don't fit anywhere in the previously established Zelda timeline.
