My video fluoroscopy results are back. My swallowing function remains severely impaired with no clinical improvement. I remain at very high risk of aspiration which could result in severe aspiration pneumonia and be life-ending. Oral intake is no longer safe and cannot be compensated for by diet modification or swallowing strategies. 6 months of photobiomodulation has made no impact. That's the reality. Not the one I wanted, but the one I have. I can't change the report but I can choose how I respond to it. I'll accept what I can't change, keep fighting where I can, and carry on.

"I've been doing this for nineteen years, "Rosa said. "I've never seen that dog's tail move." But it moved. For Earl, after 726 days of nothing, it moved. Earl didn't leave to think it over. He didn't come back next week. He drove home with Brutus that same afternoon, the two of them starting something neither one had gone looking for that morning. Warning: Alzheimer's Post. Last night my husband forgot who I was again. He also managed to unhook the bathroom door and get out of the house before I could get out of the shower & dress. It took me 15 panicked minutes to find him in the neighborhood. People simply don't understand how difficult it is to watch the man you love above all people except Jesus, respect more than any person alive, slowly disappear. For everyone who is currently complaining about your spouse, pause, take a long long look at them and remember when you least expect it you can lose them in many ways. I'm so grateful that today is a "good day" and he's aware of who he is and who I am.

Today I have a wish and I want to pray for those who are suffering with cancer and any other disease be healed in the name of Jesus Christ.
