Most people think leaving is failure. I used to believe that too. No diagnostic code existed for what I was looking at. She wouldn't become a statistic. There would be no accountability. It was almost as if it never happened at all. That's how it works. We don't just harm people. We make the harm invisible. A few months later, I left. Not because I stopped caring. Let's get something straight, Newsweek. It was no virus that upended human lives - it was a planned human attack on other humans. Period. Once upon a time the family doctor would visit you at home, no matter what the time. Patients trusted their doctor and doctors cared about their patients. It was respect and trust both ways. That was once upon a time….. sadly time moves on. Call me old fashioned
