"Under the War Powers Resolution of 1973, a president can technically initiate military action without prior congressional approval for 60 days. After this period, the president must terminate the use of forces within 30 days unless Congress declares war, authorizes the action, or is physically unable to meet." President Trump doesn't need approval from Congress for 60 days and after the 60 days, he has "within" 30 more to withdraw or receive Congressional approval to stay in the fight. So remember this when you see a million bullshit posts saying otherwise.
