@JamesEsses Cass may have been pressured. She expressed fear of using public transport after publication of her report. I understand signs may have been in her report that she might bend to the idea that effectiveness of PBs needs to be proven, but I do believe she may have been leaned on.

Also, the maddeningly illogical position pushed by Cass and others that we should trial puberty blockers because otherwise children will “vote with their feet” and obtain them illegally. There is no difference between this and arguing for a legalisation of heroin.

Across this two-day Judicial Review hearing, I have been struck by the way in which UK health bodies are willing to portray puberty as something horrendous for these children, whereas going through puberty is the most natural thing in the world. Shamefully unethical.

Also Alison: "Predators and sex offenders are the most devious people on earth. They will go on dating sites and befriend single parents. They will become priests. She also doesn't seem to understand that the reason women are most likely to be abused in the home by men they know is because men they know have the most access to them in the home. Just imagine if strange men had access to them in secluded areas outside of public view, like toilets and changing rooms, away from security cameras where women are in a state of undress...

That’s a wrap for our puberty blockers hearing. Judgment will be handed down at the Royal Courts of Justice at 2pm this Friday. In that judgment, it will be decided whether we have permission to proceed to a full judicial review and whether our application to block recruitment of children has succeeded. Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far. Keeping everything crossed that justice and child safeguarding are upheld.
