Too often, we tell our boys to "man up," but true strength lies in understanding and embracing mental well-being. This International Day of the Boy Child, we are pulling back the curtain on Boys & Mental Health.

TROOPS SWIFT RESPONSE FOIL TERRORIST ATTACK, RESCUE 31 HOSTAGES IN KADUNA CHURCH ATTACK
Troops of the Nigerian Army, through a swift response, have successfully foiled a terrorist attack leading to the rescue of 31 civilians abducted during an Easter church service in Ariko Village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The swift response followed a distress call reporting the abduction of worshippers during an Easter service at an ECWA Church in Ariko Village. The troops, on receipt of the information, promptly mobilised to the scene. With the support and guidance of members of the Ariko community, they advanced in pursuit of the fleeing terrorists and engaged the criminals in a fierce firefight, overwhelming them with superior firepower. The pressure mounted by the advancing troops forced the terrorists to abandon 31 hostages, including one injured victim who is currently receiving medical attention.
Regrettably, the remains of five victims already killed by the terrorists were also recovered at the scene. The fleeing terrorists are believed to have sustained significant casualties, as evidenced by blood trails along their escape routes.
Troops have since intensified pursuit operations to track the fleeing elements to their enclaves, with ongoing efforts aimed at rescuing any remaining captives and ensuring the perpetrators are brought to justice.
To consolidate the gains recorded, additional troops have been deployed to the area to reinforce ongoing operations, enhance security presence, and prevent further threats to lives and property.
The Nigerian Army reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the protection of citizens and the defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity, in collaboration with other security agencies and local stakeholders. Troops remain resolute in sustaining offensive operations against all threats to national security.
Members of the public are encouraged to continue supporting the Nigerian Army and other security agencies by providing timely and credible information, as collective vigilance remains vital to achieving enduring peace and stability.

Imo State is quietly building the "Silicon Valley of the East," and the intentionality is unreal. 🚀🇳🇬
I spent Monday with His Excellency, Senator @Hopeuzodimma CON , but the real eye-opener was touring the Imo State Digital City @imodigitalcity . Here is why the "Imo Model" is a masterclass in sub-national digital transformation:
Global Ecosystems: They aren’t doing this alone. By partnering with @Microsoft , @Zinoxtech . @Wakanowdotcom , @UCBerkeley , and @Huawei , they are ensuring the infrastructure is world-class and sustainable.
🏗️1st-Mover Advantage: As the first state with a dedicated Ministry of Digital Economy, headed by Dr. Chimezie Amadi the policy-to-execution pipeline is seamless.
Talent as Infrastructure: Through the #SkillUpImo project, 30,000+ youths are trained annually. These aren't just trainees; they are being equipped with laptops and integrated directly into startups and state dev teams.
💻Cross-Sector Integration: The Digital City isn't a silo; it’s the "OS" powering everything from Transport to Health. Business Process operation/Call center, a Robotics Lab, an AI training lab and Phone/Laptop repair and assembly, an Advertisement agency @AdmintMedia .
Seeing local talent build and manage state-wide digital infrastructure is the "renewed hope" we actually need. Imo is no longer just "the heartland"—it’s becoming a premier startup launchpad.
🦅I loved the fact they did not wait for the building infrastructure to be finished before the move into action. startups like Admint and the digital city are already generating revenue for the state. @myimoapp the one stop portalfor government services, commence B2B and G2B is already live with over 50kusers for a state with 5.4 million people.
To my fellow founders and tech leaders: The talent migration is shifting. Inheard that even Computer Village/Otigba is setting up a similar operation in Imo. Are you looking towards the East yet?
Let’s discuss: How vital are sub-national digital policies to Nigeria’s $1Trillion economy goal? 👇
