I love that Q-Learning is trending on Twitter. Large language models help build smart-sounding chatbots and junior-level programmers, but Reinforcement Learning is how to achieve real AI.

@_francescaperri It's a good language. I've been doing mostly Java for 20+ years. Lots of jobs, great ecosystem. It's always good to know at least one mainstream language and expand out from there to more esoteric things.

A software engineer can become productive in a new programming language in about a week. If you are learning Rust, it will take closer to a month. Keep going; it is worth all the blood, sweat, and tears.

“Busy is the new stupid.” - Warren Buffet It seems as if some people like to complain about how many meetings they have in a week… About how “busy” they are… It almost comes across as bragging about how in demand they are… And I completely understand that being involved in everything can make people feel high value… But… Be careful of the message you are sending to people when you tell them how jam-packed your schedule is.

Clarity is key. The best way to get clarity is by taking action in the general direction of where you want go. Note how you feel about the outcome. Keep what works. Adjust what doesn't. Keep moving.
