@0xQuasark Pretty easy to conclude that plant medicine is natural and therefore safer if it is grown, extracted and applied properly. Medical community convinced humanity that natural medicine is phoney-baloney. Which one should you choose?

“Texas should just legalize marijuana” is such a sophomoric take on the hemp product situation there. Obviously, yes, it should. But lawmakers there have not been willing to do that. Consumers currently have access to THC products through the hemp lane. Cannabis industry operatives and investors who want to take that away now are shortsighted at best and greedy dicks at worst.

Your Children Will Be Paying for This — And They Don't Get a Vote This Saturday, May 2nd, Texas cities across the state are asking voters to approve bonds, and the number is staggering. A combined $78.48 billion in general obligation bonds will be on ballots statewide. Let that sink in. These aren't abstract numbers on a government spreadsheet. These bonds are backed by your property taxes. You are the collateral. If the bonds pass, you, the taxpayer, are on the hook, whether you voted for them or not. And here's what they won't put on the ballot itself: these bonds take 20 to 30 years to pay off. That means the bill doesn't just land on you. It lands on your kids. Your children, who are too young to vote and have no say in the matter whatsoever, will spend a significant portion of their working lives paying off debt that was racked up before they ever cast their first ballot. We fought a revolution over taxation without representation. So what do we call it when future generations are handed a multi-billion dollar tab they never agreed to? Some of us believe taxation is theft to begin with. But even if you don't go that far, it's worth asking: what do we call it when the people paying the bill don't get a vote? Before you head to the polls Saturday, or decide to stay home, know what you're actually voting on. This isn't free money from the government. The government is you. And so is the debt.

In 1900, John D. Rockefeller controlled approximately 90 percent of all petroleum refining in the United States. He was, by some calculations, the richest private individual who had ever lived. He had a problem. Scientists were discovering that compounds derived from coal tar, a petroleum byproduct, could be used as synthetic medicines. Aspirin, derived from coal tar, had been launched by Bayer in 1899. The petroleum waste stream Rockefeller had previously had to dispose of could now be sold back to the public as medicine at a markup of roughly 10,000 percent. He had another problem. American medicine in 1900 was a competitive ecosystem of homeopaths, herbalists, naturopaths, osteopaths, midwives, and traditional doctors who used food, plants, water, and lifestyle as the primary tools of healing. Approximately half of all American medical schools taught some form of natural or alternative medicine. Rockefeller bought into the German pharmaceutical industry, eventually taking a substantial stake in IG Farben, the conglomerate that included Bayer, BASF, and Hoechst. He then commissioned a report. The report was written by Abraham Flexner, an educator with no medical training, funded by the Rockefeller and Carnegie Foundations, and published in 1910. It declared that natural and alternative medical schools were unscientific quackery. It recommended the closure of more than half of all American medical schools and the standardisation of the rest around medicine based on synthetic patented drugs. Congress acted. Half of American medical schools closed within a decade. The remainder accepted Rockefeller and Carnegie funding on the condition that their curricula be reorganised around pharmaceutical treatment. Nutrition was removed. Herbal medicine was removed. Lifestyle intervention was removed. The doctor's job was redefined: diagnose the symptom, prescribe the drug. The drugs were petroleum-derived. The petroleum was supplied by Rockefeller-controlled refineries. The medical schools were funded by Rockefeller. The journals were funded by Rockefeller. The AMA was supported by Rockefeller. The hospitals were funded by Rockefeller. By 1925, the American medical system was a vertically integrated extension of the petroleum industry, operating under the marketing slogan that it was scientific. This is the system that exists today. The pharmaceutical industry generates approximately $1.5 trillion in annual revenue. The American population, 4 percent of the global total, consumes approximately 50 percent of all pharmaceuticals manufactured. The system was not designed to make people healthy. The system was designed to manage symptoms in a way that produces lifetime customers. A healthy patient is a former customer. A managed patient, who takes the pill every day for the rest of their life, is an annuity. The objective has always been to keep you in that profitable corridor between healthy and dead. Long enough to keep buying. Not so well that you stop. The doctor who advises you to fix your metabolism by changing your diet is, from the point of view of the system that trained him, a defective product. The doctor who prescribes you a statin, a metformin, an antidepressant, and a blood pressure medication for life is performing exactly as designed. The system was designed by an oil baron who needed to sell the waste products of his refineries. It still functions, 116 years after the Flexner Report, exactly the way he designed it. You are the customer. The corridor is where you live.

I've contemplated this vision of the future and it's fascinating to imagine it's functionality. If AI and bots remove 99% of the human engagement in the production of goods and services - many more people will have the freedom to pursue activities they enjoy. And hopefully find identity and purpose in those pursuits. Humans lose their way and become homeless in the current system - people are always going to have issues in some way that's human nature. In the Uni Hi vision of the future - losing your way won't mean becoming homeless it will mean behavioral and psychological assistance will come into play to help them find meaning and or new adventures. Additionally, frictionless abundance of production and services would actually make performing a payment transaction an unnecessary nuisance.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

First of all, every person has a different experience with cannabis due to their own biology. It's the same for anything you put in the body. For example, peanuts can kill some people due to their own biology. The quality of the peanut is irrelevant - it's the biology of the individual that's most impactful to the experience. Regardless, quality is of course very important and the entourage effect that comes from full spectrum cannot be dismissed either since it is a different experience over isolates.

John Grady gets it 100% right. The explosive growth of the consumable hemp industry after the 2018 Farm Bill showed what’s possible when cannabis is allowed to move through mainstream retail and distribution channels, at normal rates of taxation and regulation. Instead of learning from that success, we’re watching it get shut down under the banner of “consumer protection. The best way to protect consumers is to create one unified market, with one set of common sense, science based regulations for everyone. And the best path forward for licensed cann@bis companies isn’t to fight hemp—it’s to join it. Not to shut down access, but to expand it. Join Us. 🚨 WE GOT THE TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST THE STATE OF TEXAS!!! 👊👊👊 🌱 THCA IS BACK!!! 🌱 📅 TEMPORARY INJUNCTION HEARING IS THURSDAY, APRIL 23, 2026, at 9:00am ⚖️Here's what happened and what this all even means - more documents/links in the comments and my LI page: On March 31st, the TX Department of State Health Services adopted new consumable hemp rules that have upended the industry here and are having national implications already. In 2019, the Texas Legislature set the compliance standard for consumable hemp at Delta-9 THC. Three legislative sessions, a gubernatorial veto, and two special sessions resulted in no change in law. Keep in mind - we have no citizen ballot initiative in Texas - Texans have made their voices known to their lawmakers session after session, IN FORCE. DSHS rewrote it anyway, substituting a Total-D9-THC standard that the Legislature deliberately inserted IN the agricultural context and kept OUT of the consumable hemp framework. They simultaneously instituted outrageous fees as a mechanism to shut down the 7+ year consumable hemp market despite no changes to the law. Earlier this week, along with co-counsel representing a coalition of Texas hemp businesses, we filed suit in the Travis County District Court challenging the agency's overreach. The constitutional process had run its course. Repeatedly. The result was no change to the law. The administrative branch does not get to override the legislative branch, and now the judicial branch has to answer: 🚨Can DSHS redefine the compliance threshold the Legislature set (effectively banning the importation and processing of lawful hemp crops and intermediate inputs)? 🚫THE JUDGE SAID NOPE!🚫 🚨Can they implement fee increases that operate as an unauthorized tax (rather than reasonable rates to implement and administer the program)? 🟠THE JUDGE SAID HMMM….NOT SURE; LET’S WAIT TO ADDRESS THIS AT THE TEMPORARY INJUNCTION HEARING - i.e, the fees stay high for the next two weeks.🟠 🚨Can they create a compounding penalty structure assessed before a business owner has a chance to be notified or cure? 🚫THE JUDGE SAID NOPE!🚫 ‼️The Government's job is to provide the framework, the structure, the stability — and then get out of the way!! It is not permitted to use rulemaking to override the law and the will of the people because someone preferred a different outcome. ‼️The freedom of Texans to access safe, legal products and operate businesses without the government moving the goalposts is not a concession - it's inherently due!!! Classic Texas fight – the government needs to stay in its lane!! Proud of our plaintiffs: Texas Hemp Business Council; Hemp Industry & Farmers of America ; Alchemy TX; Burners Vape/ Smoke/ Herb; TexaKana Organics; Serenity Organics; Elevate Wellness Dispensary; Texas High Council; & Salganik Services, Inc., for the bravery to stand up. The Banks Law Firm, P.A. is proud to stand among an extraordinary legal team: Amanda Garrett Taylor & J.R. Johnson Butler Snow LLP; Jason Snell & Lance Cawthon with The Snell Law Firm; Andrew Alvarado with Dickinson Wright; and David Kenneth Sergi & Tony Fusco with Sergi & Associates, and Chad Baruch with Johnston Tobey Baruch PC.

Marijuana prohibition was implemented by the petrochemical pharmaceutical military industrial transnational crony corporate elite ruling class for economic and political control. Drugs are a smokescreen. It's really about money, power and control. We need to expand the rights of the individual so that natural individuals, living breathing beings, have greater rights than unnatural, artificial individuals, be they corporate, governmental or technological constructs. The struggle between natural individual's rights for life, liberty and prosperity and against the domination of the synthetic collectivist plutocratic elite is the defining human rights issue of our time. With the inevitable convergence of genomic science, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence, the expansion of natural individual rights may well be the determining factor for the future of freedom for humanity. If we fail to expand natural individual rights in the face of this impending technological convergence, then future generations will be left to live with our dystopian legacy. Power to the people! The work and struggle must continue. Persistence and perseverance are required. Freedom isn't free. Marijuana prohibition is driven by profiteering agendas, and the future of freedom for humanity relies on effective resolution of illogical access restriction. Cannabis is the bellwether issue upon which the future of freedom hinges. - crrh.org

CBD & THC Team Up to Shut Down Harmful Inflammation in Immune Cells! When CBD and THC are given together in equal amounts (1:1 ratio), they strongly reduce the release of these inflammatory signals. CBD + THC block two key steps in the inflammatory process: they prevent the breakdown of IκB-α and stop the activation (phosphorylation) of p38 in these immune cells. Link in the comments 👇
