Well that took longer than I wanted, but the good part is they are done to this stage right now. These are really great to make because they are normally broken on the machines that people buy, so this should help a lot of folks. These are 4130 Chromoly & will get a shoulder grommet inserted & pressed. After that it's media blasting & then finally manganese phosphate! At that stage they will be ready to attach to the foregrips..... Speaking of foregrips, I had it all lined up to show you guys a beautiful polycarbonate rifle foregrip. Of course though there was an "erratic event" which caused the printer to shift over 1 layer line at the final hour! 😭😭 This is how it goes though man, you just have to trash the part & try again! It sucks when that happens because it's a lot of money down the drain because we don't use cheap material! This is one area where ordering a new die would likely help me make these faster. People just need to buy some of these though to enable that! What I will do tomorrow is work on the front swivel attachment points. Those will get faster especially now that I modified the die for those! After that these will just be waiting on the Rifle Foregrips to make! Thank you so much to SendcutSend for some high precision flats, they are such an incredible company! 😍😍 Anyways, this will probably be it for a little while depending on orders for this stuff, which means we can get back to really awesome machine building! We are going to finally place that long overdue SendcutSend order for a table, make more progress on the metal 3D printer along with many more great machines! Pina is my go to... so much so that I buy them by them by case at Costco Business Center. (Not available at regular Costcos.) I'm confident that if you wanted no rice, El Farolito (the real GOAT) would accommodate. Their Salsa de Aguacate (avocado and tomatillo) is unmatched. Incidentally, some Dos Toros in NYC have framed pictures of La Taq.
