@EastBreese Aaron Nola will far surpass that, simply on vibes. We need to count vibe losses too

Malik Willis threw out a first pitch for the Marlins over the weekend and, well, it didn't go great — should #PhinsUp fans be concerned?? #NFL

I mean if Jayson Tatum played we all know that game would have gone differently. It is what it is. See you in October.

The Eagles absolutely have to overcompensate just to mask Jalen's limitations and keep that offense functional. The narrative that we haven't helped Jayden doesn't feel right. Look at what we’ve actually given him: 🏈 An ELITE LT 🏈 A promising RT growing alongside him 🏈 One of the best TEs in free agency 🏈 Attempted to throw a bag at Alec Pierce 🏈 Attempted to throw a bag at the highest paid center of all time, Tyler Linderbaum 🏈 Likely bringing in his bestie Brandon Aiyuk 🏈 Reunited him with bestie Rachaad White 🏈 Consistent draft capital spent on WRs (sometimes you hit/miss) 🏈 A ton of veterans brought in his rookie year to mentor him 🏈 Brought back Marcus Mariota without second thought People forget Howie built his reputation by drafting well with capital accumulated over years. Adam Peters went for it during Jayden's rookie year and lost some draft capital, but is now trying to build it the right way, slow and steady. The moves we made early in Jayden’s career were about his on-field development. The moves we’re making now are about building a contender, boosting his morale, and establishing a culture that keeps him happy when it’s time for that extension. Adam Peters wants to help Jayden but needs to build out a steady contender first, that is how the Eagles did it. In Jalen's 2020 rookie year, Philly went 4-11-1 and Hurts was 1-3 as a starter. They made smart moves as Jalen got more and more play time, it didn't happen in an offseason. Trust the vision. #RaiseHail

Here’s how I look at this. What would Howie do? The Eagles have a MID QB yet will do whatever they can to try and make their MID guy less MID. Commanders have a future superstar and IMO haven’t done enough to help him. Imagine if WE gave JD what Howie has given his MID???

@UrinatingTree So in short trade or cut everyone but 87? Let’s set aside if that should happen, when have the pens ever operated like that?

Also missed a few people: - Stuart Skinner, I wish you the best, but Blomqvist and Murashov are ready for the NHL. Time to enter free agency. - Chinakhov was at least noticeable in the playoffs, but the lack of production kinda stung. Might be time for a bridge deal. Long term? If the price is right. - Silovs played his ass off in the playoffs, but I'm still sour on his regular season play. Does he get flipped? - Sam Girard, get ready to learn flipped in the offseason, buddy.

Some basic thoughts on the Penguins: - I think Malkin gets brought back for one season. He fills the Sergei Gonchar/Jiri Hrdina mentor role for the younger Russians, even if his skills fade. Perhaps a two year deal, but the second year can be bought out if all goes to shit. - Letang needs a Come to Jesus talk. He was an absolute liability for long stretches of time, even if he was respectable for the final three games of the series. He's trying to play like it's 2016, yet doesn't have anywhere near the athleticism to compensate these days. It's like Polamalu's last season with the Steelers: Just sad. Either he has to change his game to a more reserved style or he's getting a one-way ticket to Robidas Island. Extreme, but shit's dire with him. Thanks for making his last two years buyout-proof, Hextall... - Anthony Mantha can get his bag elsewhere. Let the Kraken sign him to a six by five or something. - Clifton and Dumba, thanks for the second round picks, but there's the door - What happens with the rest of the defense? Do Karlsson and Wotherspoon get traded at peak value? It's obvious it needs overhauled to hell and back, but how much does? - I'd love Connor Dewar and Ryan Shea back, but they're the kind of guys that get drastically overpaid on the FA market. Young enough to not fall to shit, but the fear of Ryan Graves lingers... - Speaking of Graves? Might be time to buy him out. It's a bust. - Noel Acciari might be a casualty due to his age and a bunch of younger guys knocking on the door (Tristan Broz) - I'm hoping Ben Kindel's hurt, because the dude was invisible on the ice most of April - Resting the starters after clinching home ice fucked the Pens in the end. It sapped them of momentum which took them too late to get back. - What happens with the vets? Do the Pens still try to go another year with the old core or start shifting to younger guys? Jason Robertson and Robert Thomas might be for the taking. Do they strike or feel the price is too rich? The Pens can take this offseason in a bunch of different directions. I'm interested to see which path they take.

@TheRealCrowhuck @JeffKerrPHL They don’t take ppl out of the HOF. He built 2 World Series teams basically overnight and won pennants with two others. Plus, he was always bad after reaching those peaks with teams. This is part of the experience 😭

@JeffKerrPHL He WAS a HOF executive, but he no longer shows that, plus in the end, every team he led ended up in a dumpster fire and most with a long rebuild that took almost a decade.

Analytics ruined a no hitter because it had only lead the defense through 8 innings of no hits instead of 9. A batter’s batted ball tendencies should be ignored, doesn’t matter if he pulls it left side and hits it up the middle 90% of the time. Once we reach the 9th inning, ignore hitter tendencies that helped you get through 8 innings of no hit baseball.
Jordan Moore@iJordanMoore

@kbo_coyote I do think this is an instance where there’s way too much analytics involved. Especially during a no-hitter.

It is more sinful for a journalist to tell a visibly distraught man on the verge of tears that he has nothing to be ashamed of and he made his city proud than it is for a journalist to cheat on her family and sleep with a source in her field We’re keeping score of those who spoke out against the former but have stayed awfully silent against the latter

Anyone accusing the Chicago Cubs for ruining baseball? They have easily spent more money than any team in MLB this winter: $488 million after Nico Hoerner’s 6-year, $141 million contract is finalized.
