I just tried ui.sh and unfortunately I cannot recommend it. Here’s why… It’s too good I now want to redesign all my sites 🔥🔥

@mattshumer_ That's the reason I keep a Claude subscription active. I'm generating a dumb UI in Claude and ask Codex to wire it to the backend.

If GPT-5.4 wasn’t so goddamn bad at UI it’d be the perfect model It just finds the most creative ways to ruin good interfaces… it’s honestly impressive

Wait, so the founder of Anthropic is "Amodei," as in "loves god"? And he leads Anthropic, meaning "human-centered," which is being used in military strikes? And the creator of ChatGPT is "Altman," as in "an alternative to humans"? And he leads OpenAI, which is completely closed? And then there's "Gemini," meaning "two-faced," from a company that promised to do no evil? And the whole global AI arms race is being driven by people who claimed to be worried about AGI taking over the world? Either the universe is an extremely cliché writer, or has a brilliant sense of humor

New Engineering blog: We tasked Opus 4.6 using agent teams to build a C compiler. Then we (mostly) walked away. Two weeks later, it worked on the Linux kernel. Here's what it taught us about the future of autonomous software development. Read more: anthropic.com/engineering/bu…

@SimonHoiberg In Easypanel, with one click you enable DbGate, phpMyAdmin, pgWeb, Redis Commander, etc. DbGate is database agnostic – I use it a lot.

I use pgadmin everyday and I hate it so much. The UI/UX is is making me sick 🤢 I want Supabase-grade UI, but I DON'T want all the underlying tooling. Literally just the UI so I can inspect my DBs and do queries. And I can't for the life of me find this tool. This doesn't exist? Who's gonna create it? I'd pay for this on a lifetime deal.

WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE TIMES WE LIVE IN !!!!

My hottest take is: If you're bad at working with AI, you're probably also bad at working with people (after you've understood the basics, context windows/tokens/messages etc)

If you switched to Dokploy from Coolify. Is it actually better?

Moved from AWS → Render → Hetzner + Dokploy. AWS: $100/mo, 3 services, IAM & networking hell, surprise bills etc. Render: $40/mo for very low/basic specs, meh control (but still nice to work with) Hetzner + Dokploy: $5-10/mo, full VPS, full control One-click deploys. Traefik reverse proxy. Auto SSL. Postgres/Redis included. GitHub Actions ready. Same app. 95% cost reduction. 10min setup. Actually fun. Next step: Raspberry Pi in my closet. Then I’ll grow up and over-engineer everything with K8s like a real adult 🫡

Using DevBird, I'll help the @rspack_dev team implement rslint. The original plan was to start a new open-source project for marketing purposes. It was mainly to demonstrate that DevBird could handle such complex tasks. However, I concluded that helping the rspack team would be more beneficial for the ecosystem.

@jarredsumner any idea if Temporal workers would be able to run in Bun? It depends on some V8 features for sandboxing the workflows.

Big companies are filled with people lacking intrinsic motivation so they have to quantify inputs as performance metrics: meetings attended, emails sent (preferably late at night), LOC written, tickets closed, etc.
