@del_501 You can, but by being able to get out so quickly, emotions are more impulsive than when we feel a “tangible” good or asset. Paper feels less real and therefore is treated much more impulsively.

If you buy a house when it is a few percent from its lows in a real estate bear market, why would you sell a stock at the bottom and buy it 20% higher, later? I will never understand why people treat investments differently than they do, TANGIBLE GOODS. Buy Low, Sell high. It applies to everything in life.
