$EOL.AX : Soft Arbitrage $17 afr.com//street-talk/n… Second bid at $17 by Oslo based private-equity owned rival Volue. Initial bid was $16.50 on 6 July 2026. I'm not a big fan of private equity wanting to kick over people's books with multiple conditions. Absolute complete dismissal by the board as opportunistic. Sensible. It's a business that has descended in price recently but that was after a significant run up. Board members with significant equity which is something I always like. Much to interest but frankly not from an arbitrage view but rather as external verification that this company may well be worth that valuation to an acquirer. I will do a proper valuation when I get a moment to see whether I agree with Volue. They do seem to be pivoting on an AI theme and are highly motivated to create value.

$EOL board unanimously rejects the $17/share bid, saying it does not reflect Energy One’s position as one of the worlds leading energy trading software and service suppliers. Hmmm.

$COV My Thoughts. The share price has fallen around 30% since the company announced the timeline extension. While disappointing, the next potential catalyst is the analytical validation phase, which is now expected to take approximately four months. Importantly, the company has not yet commenced analytical validation testing. There has been no failure or setback in the process itself. It t simply has not started. That said, the revised timeline has understandably eroded shareholder confidence, and management will need to rebuild trust through consistent execution going forward. Not to mention there is a hint of misleading statements where the timeline is involved. On a technical basis, the stock is now trading near its longer term average in the mid 30s, a zone where it has previously consolidated. This remains a high-risk, high reward biotech investment. Any material failure in the analytical validation (or subsequent regulatory steps) could significantly impact the share price, potentially rendering the equity worthless in a worst-case scenario. As always, do your own research and only invest money you can afford to lose.

$4DX - Is in a trading halt today. When was the last time the word 'implications' was used in a positive way? It is a funny way to word something positive. I lean bearish on the wording alone.
