Another day, another @tfl bus crashing into a resident’s car and driving off. The whole street is carrying far more traffic than it can handle. Something needs to be done. A radical redesign a needed.

@visitcamberwell DfT guidance is that local roads, not main roads, are intended for local trips. LTNs block local roads & divert all traffic to main roads. They increase congestion & road hazards there, where pedestrians are most concentrated

You've not indicated once that you've tried taking advantage of the light traffic by cycling or walking

I'm convinced you think your local LTN works but I wouldn't be wasting my time here if I thought mine did. Hence I'm here opposing something that doesn't work IMO.

Your misleading slide may be the final nail in the coffin for adults & kids breathing toxic air on LTN sacrificial roads. 💔

@delgueg @LewishamCouncil You are right though. I don't know your situation; your journeys may be necessary.
However, 50% of motor vehicle journeys are less than 3km, which is a huge part of the problem.
LTN's go some way to addressing this, and improve local air quality.
